  1. Because I don't have lights in the back on my scoop I have thought about separating that section off from the front so the hotter under hood air can escape out the back, not sure yet as I have also heard it can grab colder air from the windshield instead of the front like a cowl hood does. I did it all mostly for the cool factor anyway. When I took my car apart I found that the hood had already been cut, looked like it was the size of a shaker actually. The previous owner filled the hole with plexi then put the scoop over it and insulation on the underside so it was a bit of a surprise find.
  2. Mine is open too but I don't have anything sticking up into it, I use a smaller lid on the stock base and have a seal on it to the underside like the old Ram Air set ups.
  3. That's the new smart forum software in action, it hears your post and tries to comply, watch. I wish we had a pic of a sexy girl driving a '69 Mustang.
  4. I'm not exactly sure what is involved skill wise but I have seen cars that converted to the '70 stainless trim. Makes you wonder what Ford was thinking when creating this piece. Looks fine on a vinyl top car but I've yet to hear someone say they love the look of it, especially on a painted roof.
  5. Looking great, needs cup holders though! :)
  6. I can't access the old forum right now, hopefully all the past threads make it over once they fix the conversion problem.
  7. I think I would consider covering it in a laminate or Formica for a brand name. I am sure you could match the grain (pebble is probably close) as numerous ones are available, especially in black. It would look just like the factory plastic that way, it is easy to glue to wood just like any countertop is made and you can router the edges or do what ever you want to it especially if you got something like color core.
  8. OK, that's weird. Are you using some kind of device maybe instead of a computer?
  9. Sorry, I just deleted those for you. Random pic's do still seem to be getting added to random posts all the time though, many members are plagued by that.
  10. Finksburg I believe to be precise. I think I would be interested in the larger rear drum setup, I've been wanting to do that for a long time now. So glad you are keeping the Stang BTW, I would have hated to Ban you! ;)
  11. So you don't see this at the bottom of each post? It looks very light in color until you hover over the actual post.
  12. Believe me, I feel the shame. I was really on the fence whether or not to post it. I will follow up with a cleaned pic though this spring now that my project will finally be resuming again. I still remember the day I brought it home and parked it and I gave specific instructions that under no circumstances should anything ever be piled onto the car even though it was covered, that was like 7 years ago though and the intention was that it would be fully functional again a year later.
  13. Oh yeah, we got slammed alright. I'd say we got at least 30 inches.
  14. FWIW I emailed Testor's to ask them and they confirmed what I thought, there is no difference in the color #2546. ROProductSupport <roproductsupport@rustoleum.com> Jan 28 (1 day ago) to me Hi Richard - Thank you for contacting Rust-Oleum Product Support. Argent is Silver in French. It was removed from the label because this marker is shipped to many countries. The color has not changed. We apologize for any confusion. If you have any additional questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us. Sincerely, Beth f.
  15. Going forward please use the Report button at the bottom of any spam posts, this works functionally now on the new forum and alerts me as soon as I log on.
  16. Oh yeah, just like Ragu, it's in there! partially seen in pic #2.
  17. Some of you should be ashamed of yourselves!! How can you classify your garage as Messy when you can still walk around in it? The nerve of some people. Here's some pic's of mine from this weekend before I attempted to dig the snow blower out from the back and swap it to the front with the mower. Sorry but the best I could do for extra angles was shoot from either side of the door. A snow flake almost fell onto the top of the pile and brought it all come toppling down so I had to close the door quickly again.
  18. I just looked up some pics on '65's with that nose, actually not that bad, though not my cup of tea still. This look seems more at home on a super bird, looked better on the convertible I saw though than anything else. This is the '67 I was thinking of.
  19. Yes, sorry. I used to have a bigger box than normal and now my default seems to be at 50 and I am way over that in my storage. I am trying to find a way to increase that before I resort to deleting stuff I wanted to hold on to.
  20. I thought we were talking about a Coupe delete, not a Sportsroof delete? Anyhow, side markers are different also, easy enough to patch and revise but for that trouble you might as well just fill in the recess left behind on the '69 when the scoop is removed.
  21. What's that nose in the second pic? It almost looks like an Opal or something. I saw a '67 with something like that on it once, I always hoped/prayed it was a custom one car only thing, please tell me that's not going on a Mustang?
