  1. In other words, get under there and pull the vaccume hose off of where it is connected to the trans.. Get a flat head screwdriver and back out the screw a little, take it for a drive and if it doesnt change back it out some more... Or screw it in.. I dont remember which one tells it to shift later.. But that should take care of it.. Then adjust your kickdown linkage..
  2. The front park lights wont come on with the headlights... weird ford wiring.. but will if you pull it out to the first notch.. If your fuses are good, I would definately check your grounds..
  3. EXACTLY.... The wife has a new car, so Im just making my old car new... I like it ....
  4. Or a loose ground.. That would do the same if your fuse isnt blown.
  5. I think it would be a grounded wire somewhere.. I had somehow pinched my brake wire between the bumper bolt and the body and it gave me the same symptoms.. Did you check your fuses?
  6. I guess I need to get out there and check it out in person again.. I saw it about 2 weeks ago.. Still amazed at the size of the turbo.. When do you ship it out?? Dustin and Rich got my Intake and carb for me in like 3 hours from the time I called.. I've got the CPR Street Machine decal in the rear window of my coupe and its not coming off any time soon. the help from those two have made my build a lot easier, thats for sure..
  7. Get a tree with a 3/8 connection and two 1/4 connectors for the rear vaccume port and hook up the brakes and the trans to that. PCV to the front of the carb and then get a 1/2 inch by 5/8 hose elbow for your heater connection from napa for 9 bucks.. Using the timed port for your advance will give you little or no vaccume at idle and more vac. the higher you rev.. GSXRKEN has it all explained pretty much.. Some people run with full manifold and some use timed. Its all on you. I went with timed and plugged my line to time the motor to 11 deg and then hooked her up and it works like a charm.. 12 was too much for my mild 351 and holley 670/performer intake setup.. that extra hole up front is for another vaccume port you most likely wont need it, so just get a plug to fit (napa again) and seal it off. Let us know how it goes.

  9. You should be using a disc/drum master. You need to change that up..

  11. I would just put a tree on the of the intake for your trans hook up, use the passenger side pcv in the valve cover and run a hose to the front of your carb. Plug the power brakes into the tree too if you can using a 3/8 hose. And probably plug up that front vac. hole in the intake. I dont think you will need it. Use the timed port for your distributor.

  13. My little stock 2bbl carb finally decided that it needed a rebuild and started running like crap, and not at all sometimes.. So instead of rebuilding I picked up a new Holley 670 street avenger and a Edl.Performer intake. I installed it this weekend and, Holy Crap, now that the motor can breath it runs like a freeking champ.. I still need to set my timing (it pings a little at WOT) and set the choke so its not running at 2000 RPM when its cold. But with the hooker headers and the edelbrock performer cam, it makes a great package even with my 2.75 rear end it still gets off the line a hell of a lot quicker than it did with the 2bbl. So.. Im happy..

  15. Youve got a short to ground somewhere.. Do like pale rider said. Does the radio work? If it is blowing the fuse every time you turn on the key its probably the radio.. Trace your wires to see if any of them are broken and touching metal somewhere.. Check out the rear tail light harness.. I just installed my bumper and ended up sandwiching my brake light under a bolt which popped fuses until I found it.

  17. You dont have to pull the dash apart to change the booster.. You can do everything on your back under the dash.. Get a partner to help you out and it will be a snap.. Just watch out for brake fluid, that stuff will eat through your paint quicker than you can say "give me a beer"...

  23. Im stuck on which carb to get.. I care a little about the price, but not much.. Either an Edelbrock Performer 600cfm or a Holley Street Avenger 670cfm.. I dont know what it takes to install the edelbrock being that it doesnt have the kickdown already like holley does. What all do I need to get either or both of these matched up on my car.. 351w with probably a performer intake.. It already has a performer plus cam and hooker headers. I just want to open up the top end, and my 2bbl finaly shit the bed..

  25. WOOOOW>.. Stop.. If you ordered your seat buns from CJ's and havent recieved them,, Cancel that order. Get them from mustangs unlimited instead.. The CJ buns are crap compared to the Mustang Unlimited ones.. I ordered one set from each place and ended up not liking the way that the cj's fit. They were not as solid as the MU's and there was a lot less meat to them.. The MU foam was top notch and thicker by probably a little less than a half inch.
