  1. Best to take care of that. I know first hand what happens when you loose your brakes at speed. =new front end.
  2. I used my FMX drive shaft with the 93 aod yoke.. the drive shaft was too long by and inch or so.. but! I was running a 9 inch rear end from an old F100 that had a shorter pinion yoke.. so it fit fine.... I'm sure this won't help at all.. :)
  3. I vote cheapie... I haven't had to do floors but.. It's under the carpet.
  4. If they are 17*8. You need 1.5" spacers up front and your Choice if 1.5 or 1.25 in back.
  5. You don't need to weld in the support. It is a bolt in part. You need to find a trans from a small block ford not a modular ford. 94 and earlier mustang.
  6. I like the look. Hopefully the interior improvments are substantial. My wife has a pony package 2013 and I love the way it looks outside but it is lacking on interior. Feels like I'm in a bathtub up to my eyeballs, and not the best toad feel either. Hers is a auto and that is lacking, but like said earlier the v6 is no real slouch. It's quick, not 5.0 quick though.. I rented one after being used to her car and that 5.0 rental 2013 was crazy fast.. especially after driving the 6 for so long. I loved it.. that motor in a smaller package will be awesome!
  7. I have 3.70's in the rear and do believe that given the chance to do it again.. or Whenever i decide to do it again, I will go with the 4.11 gears. The 3.70's do the trick and keep my RPM's around 2200 on the highway at 70.
  8. Have if you get an immediate delay at idle.. Maybe you need to check the accelerator pump spring adjustment again. I adjust mine so that it squirts at the slightest blip of the throttle but so that it has a slight bit of play in the spring when you are at full throttle, so that it doesnt bind up the linkage. do you use the small hose barb coming off of the main circuit just in front of the choke for your timing? That is the timed port. Anywhere else will give you full vac. The carb should be tuned for idle, at the idle 700-800rpm with the engine in drive.. Or neutral for the manual trans. Check that your timed port hose it not leaking, causing the lean bank.
  9. Like a fusion and a dodge viper front end mixed all up and ugly like.
  10. What carburator do you have? How long has it been since a tune up? If you have a autolite or holley that has a vent hole on the fuel bowl, that will cause the gas smell. some original carbs had a charcoal canister that helped to lessen the smell. Or You could be boiling gas out of the carb if you dont have a carb/intake spacer. Or you could be running really rich. I would check the tune of the carburator first.
  11. My GAT rear suspension has never squeaked after 6 years..
  12. You should be using type F for the trans, and power steering fluid.
  13. How high have you ran up the RPMs while trying to get it to shift?
  14. If John at opentracker says its easy.. I would believe him. He knows his suspension parts. Go for it.
  15. That 70 looks like what mine did when I bought it. Mine had no carpet, headliner, or door pannels, and ended up needing a engine rebuild.. Anyway.. I got mine for $1,200.
  16. If you are going with an AOD you can use up to a 4.11, in fact, a few guys here swear by them. I run a 3.70 w/aod and feel that I could have gone to 4.11 and been happy. Dont be afraid. Lots of the Fox body guys go 4.11 with these transmissions. If it was a 5 speed I would stick to 3.50, but its auto..
  17. It has a button and a coin holder. You are correct though, it doesnt fit perfectly and I too would love one that did.. But it was free and is functional. Plus it has that little crappy fold out cup holder.
  18. Thats my car.. I used a dremel to cut the cross bracing under the console and a heat gun to slowly bend the plastic to "fit" the car. I just really got tired of not having a console and this one was free. Ive got the ebrake handle too, just need to follow this thread to figure out how to use it.
  19. Check the fluid level.. Sometimes they shift funny, or dont shift at all with the wrong fluid level. Also, what type of fluid are you using? Should be type F. Maybe this calls for cleaning out the pan and changing the filter. It wouldnt hurt anything.
  20. Hey Kris. I have one of these Im willing to part with. Sending a PM.
  21. I have some camber issues also that I havent fixed yet.. Mine came in after doing the shelby drop. I use the eccentric eliminators and cannot get the wheels to shelby spec. They are also a little forward in the wheel opening. Ive made a post or two about the problem and folks all say to go with the shims..
  22. Ive got an extra one if you end up screwing that one up too bad..
  23. Im pretty sure that adding a plate to fit would work. I remember the bolts being a little further forward than the FMX when I swapped mine. I used the ron morris crossmember and yes it sucks. If I did it all again I would never buy the crossmember and modifiy the original instead.
