  1. When you have your pressure gauge plugged into the carb .... are you using the port on teh base of the carb or the one high on the carb near the choke?
  2. I got mine in 5 days by the way .... pretty quick! Upload a pic of it, if you dont mind.
  3. Both screws should be set turned the same amount. I believe Holley sends carbs out fatory tuned with the screws set at 1 1/2 turns out. Start from there and do 1/4 turns to dial them in .... Whatever you do to one screw, you need to do to the other screw. So, say ... starting at 1 1/2 turns out, you get good pressure at 1 3/4 turns out, both screws would need to set 1 3/4 turns out.
  4. Get the $40 Marti report .... it will tell you if it is a 63C or not
  5. Yeah ... I know Greensburg ... just past Shelbyville :punk:
  6. LOL, I have been a Colts fan since '72 when I lived in MD. When they moved to Indy, their training camp was right behind my house in Anderson. I was completely stoked until I joined the service later that year :001_cool:
  7. We all know that ..... I have a '69 Fastback too :tt2: Fastback sounds better than Sportsroof. It was just a marketing scheme anyways.
  8. LilMike, I used to live in Broad Ripple .... the ex has the house now... GO COLTS!!!
  9. Ok .... youtube is awesome lol ... I wasn't even thinking about going there. Then a lightbulb went off and wala !! I am good to go .... Oh Youtube ... I sure could have used you in the 80's
  10. I have the Drake sequential LED hood and tail lights .... Very nice kit .. the tail lights just plug into the existing bulb socket and the hood plgs right into the harness connector. Only bad thing is ... I cannot see the tail lights working :001_tongue:
  11. Can someone explain "Barney Style" to me on how to terminate (tip) plug wires. I have tried this before and got so damn pissed that I went and bought pre-tipped plug wires YEARS ago. There has got to be a simple way to do these ... is there a special tool or crimp pliers for them? How much of the sheathing do I cut back etc...
  12. I should have posted but I found a set from JP1428 ... Thanks though.
  13. Please keep it all here ... kinda hard to keep your progress straight if there are multiple threads .... just my humble opinion. Nice car and progress. Its a good feeling to have fixed issues .... I kinda get a warm and fuzzy on the inside when I do
  14. Sorry, but I think I just up-chucked a little in my mouth seeing that pic of the pink.
  15. Well hell .... you have a better paint job than I do .... Heck ... my girl is a 30 footer at least! And I have been saying that for a few months
  16. I just replaced mine a couple months ago .... Will have to jack it up and take a pic for you if nobody else chimes in before then. Keep in mind, you have to tighten each hose before installing the next one or you wont be able to once they are all on. Really tight to get any sort of wrench in there.
  17. I would love to buy it from you. But as for now, I am doing some research on changing from an auto to a manual. I have plans to get a new quality paint job around tax time. Priorities :thumbup1:
  18. Really hard to believe nobody has done this yet :crying:
  19. Yeah I am not worried about the flat surfaces and believe doing those would be fairly easy. I am wondering how I would do this on the curved pieces like the ones right under the 1/4 windows. Anyone?
  20. I was wondering if anyone has ever wrapped the backseat plastic interior pieces with some sort of vinyl and the steps/suggestions on how it was done. Those pieces seem to show every little scratch and ding. I have thought about taking the car to a local upolstery shop and they quoted me to do the entire interior for $3,500.00. That is a little salty for me at the moment. If I had an idea how to do something like this myself, I would sure as heck give it a shot.
  21. What is a good 4 speed manual tranny that would complement the 351 Cleveland nicely? I currently have the C4 Cruise-O-Matic and would like to have more fun with the car with a manual rather than an auto. I have been told to put a Borg Warner T10 in it. Just looking for more input.
  22. I am in need of a lesson on how to aim the headlights on a 69 Mach 1. From what I remember, you need to be so far away from a wall (need to know that), how high up the wall the center of the beams should be (need to know that too) and how to measure the correct left/right centering of the beams. Currently, my headlights are all wacked out ... kinda embarrassing while driving at night.
  23. OMG .... speak or translate that .... I forgot all those equations almost 30 years ago
