  1. I can speak for the concentric internal hydraulic cylinder. Installation was easy. Adjustments included, a)changing the internal spacer b) adjusted the clutch pedal rod, and bleeding the line. There are options for both Z bar (Ford, Modern driveline)and hydraulic (internal, external cylinder). I don't think any option is cheap, it can get more expensive if you have to buy new headers to fit.
  2. Not trying to push Keisler but I do like some things about their setup. I have the Keisler concentric cylinder on the front of my TKO. It works great. Very smooth operation. Some of the benefits as stated from Keisler are. Smooth pedal effort due to in-line motion of bearing along axis of travel, and low mechanical loss caused by friction of moving parts. You can actuate our 650HP clutch plate with one hand! Dramatic simplification and reduction in moving wear items Less maintenance and lower operating cost Bolt-on, easy installation compared to mechanical system, making automatic conversions far easier. Dramatically more clearance for headers (I agree with this benefit)
  3. Another option is to buy an upgraded TKO from Liberties Gear. Keisler's TKO trans mount is very good. I would also use a hydraulic clutch setup. I don't know if you can parts separately from Keisler w/o purchasing the full blown kit. I would give them a call.
  4. Do a search on this and you will find lots of information. My TKO shifted like CR**. Many others have the same problems. I recommend Liberties Gear upgraded TKO http://www.libertysgears.com/. Worth every penny. I wonder if anyone has experience with the new Keisler SS700 5 speed.
  5. I saw it from 10 feet out at the car show. I's an amazing car.
  6. It was $200 with a 2 year warranty. Another nice thing about this conversion is the needle is on the zero when off.
  7. From my experience, sometimes Tach Adapters don't work. Another very good option is to send the tach to Redline and have them install modern VDO internals. They will send the original internals back if requested. I did this and my tach looks stock and works fantastic. Can't beat the 1 wire hookup to the MSD,(in my case Crane Fireball).

  9. I had a perfect 70 hood molding, my garage door hit it and put a huge dent in it. I ordered the Corvex molding from NPD. It was so totally wrong I couldn't put it on my car. I sent my dented original to Marco at "King of Trim" in the LA area. He did a perfect restoration on it and all my Mach1 aluminium trim pieces. King of Trim uses the correct chemistry for a perfect finish, no dents or surface imperfections can be seen. They stand behind their work. If you can't find an original, King of Trim maybe able to.
  10. I have a Performer RPM on my 418w with a stock 351W shaker. No modifications were needed, the shaker is up higher but the angle is good. It fits with the hood. I am using TCP stock height motor mounts so the engine doesn't shake. It is as tall as you want to go w/o lowering the engine or modifying your shaker base. A Victor Jr is taller.
  11. I used the Keisler TKO tremec conversion kit in my 70 Mach1. Its a good kit, you can configure it the way you want it. The problem I found was my TKO shifted like C++p. Above ~5200 you couldn't get in in the next gear. My TKO runout was correct and the installation wasn't the problem. After way too much research into this problem my conclusion is... The TKO is an aftermarket trans. and Tremec doesn't put the quality control, and use materials that they would for an OEM customer. The also have some design flaws in the shift rails. With that said I yanked my TKO and sent it to Liberties gear, they upgraded it and now it is an awesome trans. Shifts well into 6K+ range. I suggest you purchase a upgraded TKO from Liberties. The upfront cost will be a bit more but you will not have to deal with shifting and other problems after installation. Call them to get a better understanding of their improvements. http://www.libertysgears.com/
