  1. Hey Ash I bought an Amsrok as well. Happy with it so far.
  2. Local sellers here in Australia are listing Fitech 600hp system for $2200au, or about $1800us. It's a rip off. Buying direct from Fitech is about $1150us including freight.
  3. I'm liking the black for both shirt and mug. If you can ship to Australia I'll take one of both!
  4. I'm nowhere near finished yet mate. I'm still working on the underside.
  5. Welcome Mac! Plenty of us Aussies here mate. Good luck with the build
  6. Hi Mark, the easiest upgrade would be to XF Falcon alloy calipers. They're a direct bolt on, even the flex lines will go straight on. I have a rebuilt set here I paid $250 for them. UPC do a kit to fit BA 300mm rotors/calipers that you can usually pick up on eBay for around $700. Cheers Shaun.
  7. It was filmed on the Gold Coast here in Queensland. Crap film but nice cars. Very nice XA Falcon coupe in the movie too.
  8. http://1969stang.com/forum/index.php?/topic/50945-69-coupe-aussie-style-restomod/page-2 Here's a link with pics of my seatbelt install. I've moved the retractor mount rearward and the upper mount forward so it mostly lines up with the b pillar. You may not need to move the upper mount on a fastback. Hope this helps.
  9. Next week we are adding Baer Tracker tie rod ends, Roller Lower Control arms, and relocating the roller perches down 1" lower on the upper control arm. Upper roller control arms are in the works as well. Mike. What are the advantages of moving the spring perch? I've never heard of this being done before Thanks Shaun
  10. I have the same style of compressors as Brian and always take the outer cover off. It's much safer. If you are putting in lowering springs they won't need much compressing at all.
  11. That episode of Limitless came out this week in Aus. Sweet looking coupe.
  12. I've always put the control arms then spindle. After that Spring seat, springs, shocks then sway bar
  13. I've seen pictures of a 70 22 gal tank with a flat area in the front left corner where the emissions gear was plumbed in. I think some of the repop tanks have it too. Might be a solution to the pump location.
  14. But what an exhilarating feeling seeing your kids so excited about accomplishing something and learning hard work pays off. We need more of that in today's society IMHO! Thanks for all the kind words and support from the forum. No truer words spoken than these. Your an inspiration to all the Dads here my friend.
  15. I used the same method as described above- 4" grinder with wire brush attachment on a garage creeper.
  16. I think the difference is if the car had factory dual exhaust or single exhaust. I'm not sure though.
  17. Sorry about the confusion. The bracket on the bare spindle is the one used to fit the PBR caliper for the 13" conversion from UPC. http://www.ebay.com.au/ulk/itm/141503275926 Included is the link to the eBay add. If you contact them through eBay he may sell you just the brackets and give you a parts list for the rest of the parts.
  18. Machme69- welcome mate. The bracket is part of my front brake kit from UPC Brakes in Melbourne, Australia. It uses 13" mustang cobra rotors and VT Commodore/ 2004 GTO PBR calipers with a custom hub. I'll see if I can find a link or phone number and post it.
  19. I know the feeling! My plan and priorities changed about a dozen times in the first 6 months. Good idea to change the harness. I got the AAW Classic update harness myself and several guys here have had a good experience with them.
  20. Looks pretty tidy! Nice to see another coupe on the go. What are your plans?
  21. 4th gear in an AOD bypasses the torque converter and is direct drive by the inner shaft of the gearbox. Is it a possibility this shaft has snapped or not engaged in its splines? When fitting the converter you have 3 sets of splines to engage not the usual 2 like in the c4 or fmx.
  22. It's been happening on and off to everyone. I've no idea of how to fix it.
  23. She's looking great! The coupes look great and are something different to all the sports roofs out there. Vat69- I'm another f code base coupe owner and the important thing is it's a 69 Mustang they have all the attitude you need!
