  1. I'll get paint on in the next couple of weeks. you been doing some extreme work on your build. I've been following your progress keep going strong.
  2. Installed Grab-A-Trac front and rear suspension kit 1" lowering springs in the front and 1" in the rear springs, Front and rear sway bars. Gas shocks, rebuilt brakes with new drums and lines. New upper and lower control arms, Rebuilt control valve and steering cylinder. Now it's time for paint........:smile::smile::smile::smile: This week I'll sand and trim some body panels for assembly.
  3. Primed the body yesterday. Today primed, undercoated and painted the underside and pass. compartment gloss black. 5 1/2 months later almost ready for Paint......:yes::yes: Here is a link for a slide show of the restoration. http://www.vuvox.com/collage/detail/05f2fd5200
  4. Finished bodywork and primed the doors, fenders, hood and scoop, headlight ass. http://www.vuvox.com/collage/detail/05f2fd5200
  5. Making progress on rear frame rails. Rusted pretty bad. Replaced rear section with aftermarket rails. Fabricated front sections. Almost done. http://www.vuvox.com/collage/detail/05f2fd5200 Restoration pic's.
  6. Yes I'm getting there. I get my father in law and wife maybe once a week for half a day. The fenders are from Mustang Unlimited. Some Taiwan brand. The fit is okay. The body lines on the door skins and the fenders are not prefect. So I lined up the upper body lines first and then the bottom lines will need a little tlc to line up.
  7. Front rail and aprons done, Both Quarter panels and wheel wells complete. Next going to spin it around on the rotisserie for the under side. http://www.vuvox.com/collage/detail/05f2fd5200 slide show a the resto.
  8. I had the same problem with both my Q panels, Just finish the pass. side today. Large gap on the top tight on the bottom. Did you get it fixed? I tack welded the bottom at the rocker in the rear and then at door. Then I clamp the top of the Q panel just enough so it would not move. Pulled the panel away from the wheel house, and used a porter power in arch of the well. When I had nice gap I then tacked the top. I need a little downward force to get panel on wheel well put in did go on. Both side I had the same issues. I did not use full quarter panels.
  9. Looks like we a have similar rust buckets to rebuild. Nice job on the door and skin. Just did both of mine. Here is link for pictures. http://www.vuvox.com/collage/detail/05f2fd5200 Will be installing inner wheel wells and quarter panels also, and many other parts lol.....
  10. Hi Guys I will be replacing the engine or block. I've been in the auto body business for 34 years. I do restorations for family and friends. Not for free.. lol.... I've always been a GM guy. So I figured I needed something different to do, My wife likes the Mach1 style so this restoration is for her. It's going to be her car. If anybody need any advice, I 'll be glad to help out. That's for the welcome.
