  1. Fan Shroud: Great idea. I'm gonna get one.
  2. "Radiator is about 2 hour job to drain, pull the old one & install new. I'm all about safety so disc brake upgrade .. if parts show up fast enough for ya it's not too difficult." This dovetails well into my need to fix my overheating issue.
  3. Yeah!!! Got any links (in or out of this forum) for those New Mustang Brakes?
  4. Seems like I've heard the same, good experiences w/ them - from many other model types as well. May have to just go w/ something like this if I don't find a suitable swap.
  5. Good luck with your Road Inspection/Annual Car Test. I'd love to see that Mustang on your beautiful roads - that would be a striking sight to behold.
  6. Now 'THAT'S what I'm talkin' 'bout!'
  7. Wow! Those pics inspire me. Makes me really wanna get home I work on my Stang. I'm in Nigeria & most of what I see are Jap-krap & Euro-Trash...although there are 2 - 2008-9 Mustang Convertibles running around near where I work...too bad nobody maintains anything here. Those 2 will probably be heaps of junk in about a year. BTW, this would be an excellent place to own a Monster Truck!
  8. You in Trini? 'll bet you can't wait to see a muscle car again! Gawd, I get so tired of being in places where Jap-Krap rules.
  9. And...I am not trying to rule out other aftermarket radiators either - just my experience that something newer, from the same mfr will often work great, at reasonable prices, on older cars. Just gotta look for it.
  10. OK I know many of you have gone down this road before: 70 Mustang overheats consistently. From what I have read - it seems that it's the old, undersized radiator. But maybe it is something else, or something in conjunction w/ the Rad. So, here are the questions: What is a good Radiator Swap? Is there, say, a later model (1980s-2010s pickup or Mustanf, or Crown Vic, etc) Radiator that does a nice job & fits 'well-enough'? Water Pump? Other Issues" (Such as clogged water journals)? Again: Thanks to you experts. M70
  11. Comin' back home for my 'rotation' & have got a solid week to put into this: 1970 Sportroof The MECH 302 / C4 Auto 4100 Carb, Headers, mild build (I think) Mech (fuel, engine, trans) is all old...but works pretty good Cooling system overheats (think I need to bump the orig tiny looking radiator up to something more up to the duty) Elec is so-so...but charges, starts & functions (just damn-ugly half-axxed wiring) The Under-Carriage Drum Brakes all corners Orig Suspension Pwr Steering (thinking abt going to manual...did it on a Barracuda & never looked back) Think it's an 8" RE (sorry to admit - not much Mustang experience, more of a Mopar past...but the key word is 'past') This car had some pretty decent mech-resto done on it about 15 years ago....I wanna make a nice Auto-Cross / Street car. My question is: With 1 week to work, what would you do? BTW, I'm not looking to be all 'Cheap-O', but I am also not looking to spend just to say that I did. Thanks in advance. M70
  12. Thanks! I'm still new to Mustangs...call me a reformed 'Mopar-ian'.
  13. Hi, I'm not sure where to look on my 1970 302 to find the identification stamp on the block. I have a shop manual that says a tag is on the alternator adapter, but I don't see it...seems like an easy way for that tag to 'get gone'. Which, it did. SO, is there another location to get this info? Just want to see if this engine is numbers matching. Thank you.
  14. Thanks - been a while since I messed w/ a points ignition.
