  1. I have a full set of rear window trim that I do not need. It is a little faded as is normal but is complete with no cracks. I also have a factory hood scoop off a 351. It is also in good shape no cracks but has some flaking paint. Lastly I have a set of factory bumpers. The front is rusty and the back was sanded down and sprayed with primer. Make an offer on all items.
  2. What steering parts did you replace. I am looking to make the steering better. It was sitting for a few years before I started fixing her up. I greased everything but still seems tight even at speed and seems to require alot off steering wheel movement to turn nothing is loose or sloppy just not responsive. Deffinately would win a slalom race
  3. ordered my door skins, door cups, hood scoop emblems, and door sills. That I hope is everything that I still need to finish her up. Should be back from paint this coming week.
  4. I used satin/semi gloss black and it seems to be a perfect match.
  5. near york PA between harrisburg and gettysburg right where route 30 and i83 meet
  6. I have a rear bumper if you are interested make me an offer it has no rust but was primered to keep it from rusting no dents at all and it is original. I might have the brackets too i will have to look. I am located in pa
  7. agreed mechanical is what I run to just because its easier and less chance of mess.
  8. I do have that rod piece if you need it let me know you can have it for the price of shipping just PM me your zip code. I am still waiting on my shelby side scoops by the way I am told Nov 15th they will be at my door.
  9. are you talking about just the little u shaped rod bolted to the hood that the latch catches on? If so I might have one for you off my old hood let me look
  10. Here in south eastern PA I am doing fine noting major so far and the mustang is at the paint shop so hoping he is fairing as well as me
  11. The Marine Corps Hobby shop was the place that gave me this idea I loved it in Camp Lejeune when I was there. I am in York, PA and Harrisburg is with in 25 minutes. I am almost positive that I could fill the bays easily on the weekends but not sure if that would be enough money to carry me through the week and pay all the bills. I need to find an investor.
  12. I have been kicking around the idea for years of starting a buisness of DIYers. basically the idea is to open a building with several garage bays. probaly start around 6-10. Each bay would have a floor jack, jack stands, basic sockets, screwdrivers, ratchets, etc. there would be a tool room as well that would hold the more expensive tools like pullers and things. basically you would pay an hourly rate or daily rate to come and work on your vehicle. Parts would be able to be delivered to you as well free of charge from local parts suppliers. Would any of you use this? If so how much would you think is fair to charge? I know most of us that are older have a garage and our own tools but when I was younger this would have been great. Also plan on having a senior mechanic on site to point people in the right direction but not acutally do work as well as have a welder on site to handle welding for anyone at an extra fee.
  13. I am waiting on mine they were on back order should be here this week and then off to my paint guy who is working on the coupe now. I will post pictures when I get them.
  14. That sounds about right for a shop. If anyone lives in PA or MD I would be glad to give them the name of my painter. He has done several cars for me and they turn out the way I want. He has a booth at his house and can do anything from show quality, to quick flip, to just standard repair jobs. He charged 2,000 to take my recent 69 from crappy body work to show quality with some custom touches and installing all the glass and trim.
  15. agreed whine is usually a sign of the pump going bad.
  16. My engine is completely custom built. But put the airline to the carburetor and it started shifting. now I just need to drive it and see if the kickdown is adjusted correctly. I adjusted the same way I do in my jeeps. which is about 3 quarters brothel where did Shannon for Prada where is all the way back.
  17. Here are photos I also found these side trim pieces I swapped to shelby scoops.
  18. Wow that is some bad reviews reminds me of Gas Monkey Garage here in the U.S. I would never pay them to wash my car.
  19. Can I hook it to a vacume port on the carb or does it need to go to the intake? I think I only have one port on the intake and it is for the PCV.
  20. Well my wife got to drive the 69 for its first drive over 100 ft in over 5 years. We were told everything worked when we bought it about a month ago. She hoped in today and drove it to the shop about a mile away to get the exhaust installed before it goes to paint on Thursday. Anyway I was following her and noticed it wasn't shifting out of first gear. I came home and began reading what I could about the FMX. I read that there should be a vacuum line hooked from the trans (modulator) to the Carb. I know that this is not on since I installed the engine and never hooked it up. There also was not any hooked up to the old engine that I saw before I pulled it which is why I didn't hook it up. I am hoping that this is the issue when I get it back tomorrow afternoon. Anything else I should check while I am at it. I did drop the pan before we drove it fluid looked good no metal shavings I replaced the filter and also put a new high stall convertor in before adding a new pan gasket and fluid. Also should fluid be checked with trans in neutral or park?
  21. Which bumpers? fiberglass are new still in the package came with my project. The factory front has surface and would need to be rechromed. The factory rear was primered by the previous owner he was going to paint it body color. It would need paint or rechoming as well. The gauge bezel is all black standard interior.
