  1. That Falcon is so cool I could cry. But I'm not crying. Honest, I got something in my eye...
  2. Spiffy. Very spiffy! Looks like it was dipped in candy.
  3. Thanks for the update. Are you saying the Falcons are a dime a dozen or the tractors are a dime a dozen? That tractor looks pretty spiffy as it is.
  4. Wow, the aluminum on that bike looks better than new. And I'm old enough to remember when those were new. The door gaps on the Falcon are TIGHT. Looks amazing, but I assume those doors don't open and close?
  5. I can see everything with the exception of the pictures from February. I'm using Chrome. Wonder what's going on? Maybe I can resurrect my build thread on another forum. I was so disgusted with the Photobucket Block, I simply stopped updating it. The Falcon is looking good. Thanks for the update. Looking forward to seeing it in fresh paint.
  6. Thanks for the update. This race car has some serious attention to detail.
  7. Are you planning to use the Falcon for serious drag racing while driving the Mach 1 as a street car? Or, maybe the Mach 1 will see open track/road racing? I don't understand why the Falcons don't have a stronger following. They're very cool cars and share a lot of components with the Mustang. I suppose the good side is you can still pick up Falcons pretty cheap compared to Mustangs.
  8. Interesting. Batman has nothing on you.
  9. That's a cool Hurst shifter. I've seen similar shifters only in old Mopars. What's the cable on the front of the differential?
  10. And to think the people who built that car and drove it all those years had no idea it was destined for such a glorious rebirth.
  11. Looks like it was built by NASA/JPL.
  12. Good stuff, Mr. Buckeye. Very good stuff!
  13. It will definitely be a "Street Terror".
  14. Very nice! Since you're going with a T-56, I assume this will be more than a drag car? Thanks for sharing your progress.
  15. Recently saw a post from Rick at NPD stating those batteries were no longer available and he didn't know if they would be available again. Maybe such problems led to the manufacturer stopping production?
  16. Great pictures, thanks. Wow, I guess people don't grasp the concept of a restomod. Fun fact, a friend of mine has a '70 M-Code with one shock tower reinforced, and the other shock tower not reinforced. It came that way from the factory and was simply an assembly line error. Yeah, he has to do a lot of explaining at shows. Do you think this mod is a good idea for a street car with occasional autocross and drag fun runs?
  17. I see above you have reinforced the shock towers like the big block and Boss 302 Mustangs. Is there a place in your build thread which talks about doing this? (If so, I did not see it.) I was thinking about adding these reinforcements to my '70 Mach 1. The kits I've seen online seem a bit pricey. I'd be interested to know how you did it. Thanks in advance.
  18. And it appears you beat the Corvette handily. Nice.
  19. Are you familiar with Shaun at Street or Track? His thing is more road racing, but he's very familiar with suspensions and shock absorbers. I would suggest you send Shaun an email asking about your launch issues. He's very good about getting back to you and offering sound advice. He might have a set of Bilsteins to resolve the problem. I have bought parts from Shaun and talked to him online. He's a good guy who runs a good business. BTW, that 3M stuff is pretty spiffy! Thanks for sharing that.
  20. I blasted the bottom of my car with coal slag. I got it at Harbor Freight. They're starting to carry multiple types of blasting media to include aluminum oxide, walnut shell, soda and glass beads. While sand is cheap, it's not a good idea to blast with it at home. It has silica in it which is very dangerous for you and anyone around you.
  21. Good to know. That's very helpful. Thank you. I'll go ahead and pick up an AMK body fastener kit. Although, I have yet to find a description of what's actually in it. My car is a 70 Mach 1.
  22. Looks great! Very cool that you're getting the car for everyone to see it. Your Mach 1 sets a high standard which many people, including me, will attempt to meet. I really like how all the fasteners look perfect under the hood. Did you use a body fastener kit? I was considering ordering such a kit, but I've heard the quality can be lackluster.
  23. Thanks. I'm not surprised you used your own home brew.
