I have one in my '68, not too bad. Mustangs to Fear has one for '68, I understand it can be modified for the later cars.  I also did it the hard way.....

Brian, I think I can see the left over pieces of the membrane at the bottom corners on the picture in your first post. The membrane is thin, disintegrates and falls off in time. As you can see on your pictures, the rubber on other areas are disintrating and falling off exposing the metal frame they were molded on.

I installed the 9 inch last week.  Pretty much everything is new except for the leaf springs, which i cleaned up and painted to match the rest.  Just need to finish running the brake and e-brake lines and fill it up with fluid.  Then on to the TKX swap!

Got my rear bracket made and fitted up.  What a huge difference in how sturdy it is now!  I took me maybe 2 hours to make both brackets out of aluminum stock I got from Ace Hardware.
Now to get my hood and see how the whole thing fits...or not....

Well, The car is essentially done. Although we all know that our cars are never ever really done! I do have a list of things I need to or want to change/fix or tweak.
I belong to the local Mustang & Fords club here in Delaware and we had our fall show sponsored by a Ford dealership in Newark Delaware, Porter Ford. It was a nice day and we had a great turnout. I took the car to the show where it made it's debut.  The car got a lot of attention and took home it's first trophy. The awards were based on spectator popular vote and a Dealers Choice award.

Do not cut it flush! Keep it long, and trim it next year if you can. Use a steamer to form the carpet.

I meant to write this last winter.  Previously, I had installed Led bulbs for the front turn signals in order to make them more visible, but still felt that other vehicles couldn’t see them well enough.  I purchased and installed the VintageLed Daytime Running Lights on my 1969.  I had some difficulty with one of the lights that had to do with my car’s socket. The connector would not stay seated in the socket. Gary responded immediately and talked me through the solution.  Since installing them, the brightness is amazing as well as how well the lights work.  I can’t say enough about how pleased I am with the customer service, the design, and workmanship.

Well I’m pleased to say that the car came back to me 2 weeks ago from the paint shop.
I’m so pleased with it, the paint finish from the shop is just sublime.
Now for the hard work of putting it call back together.

Thanks,  It looks much better than the peeled off chrome or the silver paint I tried.  When I get the money I may go reproduction but this keeps my project moving for now.

Yes, the kit came with everything, Im not too into wiring, however, the shop I installed it at had no issue and was a straight forward install since my wires were original and not touched/modified prior.
definitely one of my favorite things about the car. I dont need to add any additional gauges like oil pressure, water temp, this gauge kit has everything that you need, the two LCD Displays helps alot when on the road, as I get an accurate reading.
I highly recommend RTX to anyone who is debating about going with this kit.

I have the Dakota Digital RTX Series and what an awesome kit! can give you multiple readings i.e Speed, Oil Pressure, Radiator Temp. You can also adjust these settings in your iOS or Android Phone. you can also change the color of the dials.
my only gripe with this kit, is it doesn't have the running horse when you select the high beams. thats one thing that I wish that on there. other than that Dakota Digital is a winner for me.

    What the F... Progress??
First time powering up the AAW harness. Got head lights, tail lights, horn, heater fan, radio, interior lights and voltmeter working. Hazards only work with parking lights, so there is some gremlins yet. I have a lot of grounds to go over.  But it's huge for me to finally be able to power up stuff. It's been over a year since the last update, and I have been doing stuff, but I never did feel it was enough to make a post about. Still there is work to be done on the harness, but a big step was made today.

It's been awhile since i updated all on my project. I spent a lot time on the electrical, the stereo, and the rear fold down seat, and dash components recently. Also, was waiting on my engine builder to get the engine done.
Well the engine is back and I dropped it in. Was thinking I had an issue with the valve cover making contact with the brake booster and the Sanderson shorty headers hitting the CPP GM style steering box. Today I installed the tremec tko 600, billet steel fly wheel,, Quicktime bell housing,, Kevlar clutch with a hydraulic clutch that I bought from MDL. It went right in and all my clearance issues and concerns vanished now that the engine was level. What a relief!
Furthermore, I had installed an Edelbrock Air Gap intake, which everyone told would not work with a shaker because the intake is too high. So, I decided to use a 428 air cleaner base which along with 351W has a lower profile, but also has a different offset. Well I can happily say I don't have a height issue and I just clocked the 428 base to align the distributor concave area and re-drilled the holes in the top to straighten out the scoop. I have to fabricate a offset plate to properly seal the base to the top (plenum), since the plenum is shifted forward about an inch forward over the base. The offset plate is an easy thing to do
next up, wire up the Holley sniper and Hyperspark distributor and Ignition. Finish assembling the front end of the motor, and grill/bumper, exhaust, and interior. Finally the windshield and driveshaft. Then it should be road test ready.
The last pic shows a good shot up from underneath the driver's side header, where you can see the clearance with the steering  in and further up daylight between the valve cover and the booster.
