  1. Cool thanks, mine has a period correct radio as well which means even more that it never occurred to me it was a no radio car. Someone went to the trouble of finding one and installing it.
  2. Interesting, but your report is kind of what I mean with glancing over the options. By that I mean I never thought anything of it that it had no radio listed there. I say that because I too have a Fmx tranny listed in the "door data plate information" section but it is not listed in the section like your picture as an option? Seems there are inconsistencies with what gets listed in the "equipped with" section I guess is what I am saying. Doesn't bother because there are a lot of options, and who the hell knows about ford's record keeping back then.
  3. I just got an elite report for my 70 and I had a question for those of you who have a report. Doesn't need to be an elite necessarily but it pertains to the radio. Do you have anyplace listed on the regular report of what radio your car came with? My car came with a deluxe report from the previous owner and I never noticed it had nothing listed for a radio at all in either section. I know sometimes the list of accessories it based on what they actually reported year to year and maybe the radio was just standard by then. I never thought anything of it until the Elite came today and in the breakdown it is listed as a no radio car. Not saying anything about rare it just makes it one of the 1 of 1 cars based on some funky options. I know it doesn't mean much and I laugh when people claim those at auctions. So rather than try and search through forums at Marti reports was just curious what others have listed or not listed for radios. Does anyone else have no radio listed in the regular report and it is listed as a radio delete on the elite portion?
  4. Click on your name in the very top right of the page, in the drop down hit Content Follow. Dont know if the threads copied over correctly as I didnt have any to start but I just tested a new one and it works. Also to subscribe hit the Follow this Topic at the top right of that thread. It walks you through when you want notifications.
  5. I am in too, getting in from my phone too.
  6. Spend extra and get the top two then for sure.
  7. Since it has been a while I cant exactly be sure which cover I ordered compared to their model names now. I am pretty sure the one I have is closest to the Deluxe model by the looks of the pictures of what the materials look like up close. It is super soft and I don't have to worry about scratching but it took the dirt and occasional bird dropping at the time really well. Throw it in a large washer with some simple green is all the cleaning calls for. It is a bit heavy duty but still packs well to take to shows if need be. My guess is with their line if you were only using it in a nice garage you would not need the platinum or ultimate as they show more for snow. Also to Brian's point it does not come with a hole for the antenna. It does include a plastic grommet that you use to make your own hole. The material is soft and just a small X cut and then placing the grommet immediately keeps the cover to ripping to shreds like most plastic based covers. I have put it on a million times and no rips.
  8. I use this website, and the cover is high quality. Walks you right through picking your car make and model, then gives you 4 tiers to pick from. At the time they were offering a Mustang Club of America discount but now with the sales they are showing they might not. http://www.carcovers.com/
  9. I say the same thing as Pakrat, if you hate the color and plan on keeping the car forever then paint it what you want. You have to clean and look at it everyday, if it is not the color that every time you walk out in the garage and go damn that looks awesome and is my dream car then that is your answer to me. With that said I may be slightly biased but please go back to the Grabber color lol. I am not only a sucker for Grabber colors but I am a big fan of putting the car back to the original paint code. I cant believe how many times I get asked if mine is the original paint color and I am happy to say yes. I am not talking about concourse everything I just like to have things in the general area of the codes myself. I feel like I root for the underdog sometimes, if everyone repainted the not so cool colors over the years there would be none left to look at. Over those 35 years you have owned it the market and the hobby went on a roller coaster. It was only cool to paint it not the original color, then it was either super modified non ford colors, or then concourse colors. Now it is similar to hot rods of the the 30's and 40's you can pretty much have a hybrid of everything if you want.
  10. Do you mean straight from the hole in the center of the bracket to the center of the bracket on the frame rad support? Cause if I go inside or outside on the bracket it changes the measurement because of the angle of the end of the bracket by a lot. Just to be sure here is where I plan to measure, assuming my bracket is original and not hacked off on that end, but I think those spot welds are original. I just need to get to the car again tonight.
  11. Well I agree with RPM after doing mine I come up with 47* on the drivers side and 46* on the passenger side. I had my protractor on the rad support frame rail measuring the outside of the bracket but if the bracket is true it shouldn't matter inside or out but could be the variance between RPM and I. Just so many variables though on the measurements I am afraid to give you any without pictures. I cant get under there and get some decent pics. Pretty tough without a diagram of the measurements you want specifically. Just from those questions there was like 6 measurements from the front hole I could have given you but not sure it will be what you want. If I give it to you for the overlap on the front rad support if mine were cut or yours were cut it would be wrong?
  12. I don't know if my car is original or if they were replaced at some point but if I can get out to it tonight I can try and get some measurements and maybe a picture. I have the SoT adjustable strut rods but the brackets are the same stock ones.
  13. I go every year I will check out the 69 section a little better next year lol.
  14. Easier now that I see the plate, if you are upstate I hope to see around!
  15. Beauty, the wheels really make a huge a difference it is amazing! Are you in NY now?
  16. Does anyone have pictures of a c6/351c combo in their 70 car? I think it shouldnt matter 69 or 70 but not positive. I am looking specifically for the oil cooling lines going into the trans and the cooler. As well as the kick down lever attaching to the trans as well on the other side. I don't think either one on my car are correct but I want to see pictures of something that should be right.
  17. Sorry to dig this thread up but what do you guys use to clean your cladding? Indian I know yours is freshly restored but I was curious what everyone uses.
  18. Ok took a picture of mine but here is my disclaimer: I did not assemble my car so I dont know if this is 100% correct for whatever application they had differences in. That is, my car is 351C non shaker car originally, I dont know enough about the concours end yet on the 70 to tell you this is right for my car even so take it for what its worth as there seems to be about 3 different setups, one being like Mike shows. I have to assume this is the elbow I have but cant be for sure as it says it is the one for the oil cap itself. Maybe someone can verify all this, they could be the same elbow on each end? http://www.npdlink.com/store/products/mustang_elbow_valve_cover_and_oil_cap-105524-2849.html And the rubber grommet is maybe this one? http://www.npdlink.com/store/products/grommet_pcv_valve_and_angle_fitting_6767_1-105603-1.html
  19. I dont know if these will help? If I am missing something you need let me know, the garage was dark and I tried to get details. Also these pics make my car interior look absolutely horrible, makes me sick since I dont feel it looks that way in person?
  20. Thanks that is what I needed to know, wasn't sure if you welded that nut on yourself in a different location. Helps to know I can just basically bolt this in for my case and most of the hard work is done. Mine droop too, and most times I don't even mess with them since they are a pain to get reset above the door.
  21. Raven I can snap a few tonight as I have the lap belt that retracts and also the separate shoulder strap that when not used hangs horizontally above the door that is not retractable. Is that what you mean? I did not install them so I dont know how original or correct they are but they look to be. Flanders I am curious it seems that you did not have that shoulder strap above the door before, so you would not have had anything along the roof line. I haven't looked closely but I basically have a stud there of some sort for the current old school setup of separate belts. I am wondering if I can convert by using that preexisting setup hardware to some extent?
  22. Dumbest question ever but when I bought the car the door lock cylinder retainer clips were already rattling around at the bottom of the door. Since I didnt take it apart I am not really sure which way the clip goes for sure. I see the slots on the back of the cylinder so it looks like the clip slides in east/west. But I assume the flange part of the clip faces the interior of the car correct? Seems like the round parts of the prongs will never make it past the slots of the cylinder? Anyone have a pic installed I can just see? I can find a million pics of the clip and the cylinder just not installed.
  23. I kind of thought this kind of money/time/labor would be involved, every time I look at mine I can only imagine. Once you had the to bare I was curious how you got all the different pieces. Thanks for the details. Seems like everyone on these boards seems to "luck" into t5z without buying one from the name brand sites. I feel as though this will never happen to me in upstate NY but dang it I will hold on hope. Great build.
