stangnet33 reacted to RPM in Another Mach1 Coyote restomod Basket case.
Why? Well I was born in 1956, nuff said? :) My 69 Windsor with stock points ignition starts first time every timeWhile I have updated a few things on my 69, I'm kinda old school. If I were to put an extra large motor in a Mustang it would probably be a Kaase B9 head 460 based motor. And stroked to at least 500ci. But life would be very boring with a bunch of Bob's in this world. And btw, your swap just might be opening my feeble mind.

Incandescent bulbs for sure, I've always liked the way they light the gauges. Great work so far ! I see you went with no carpet inserts on passenger side.

Some twilight pics from my drive last night. It's a great feeling that even with the gremlins I'm chasing that I can still take it out and enjoy it some. Looking forward to getting them settled and taking the car to shows, though I missed the spring / early summer show season for the most part. Definitely can't rush this build. Not enough hours in the day or dollars in my pocket to do that!

stangnet33 reacted to Midlife in 69 gauge/ lights circuit borad
Dude: you really need to understand the function for each wire before trying to trouble-shoot things. stated before: pin 12 for standard dash cluster or pin 2 and 5 for blue/red: those are dash lamp wires. You can figure out the function of the circuit board trace by examining the position of the bulb and what should be seen on the front of the dash cluster, and then follow that trace back to the cluster.
Pin 15 is Green/black is the high beam signal. Why are you testing 16 and 17? Those are ammeter lines: always hot and unfused.
So let's cut to the chase and I'll give you the complete pin-out of the dash cluster connector for the standard dash:

My friend who was an ex-professional mechanic just dropped off his Steelman ChassisEar exactly like the one stangnet33 posted. Now when I get some time I'll hopefully track this noise, and some of the others, down.

If you could get a hold of a set like these it would help take the guess work out for you.

stangnet33 reacted to Caseyrhe in Air Condition Vents (louvers)lower dash cut out template required
Here's the how I made the templates, taking note of where/what I squared it up to. I went and traced the template back onto a
8 1/2" x 11" sheet of paper and will scan into a PDF tomorrow am and post. I noted the measurements on the 4 sides to insure its to scale after you print it out.
