  1. I think they do have it listed on their website, but may not be in stock. I think it came out after they sent out the new books. I checked NPD's site and they claim to have it in stock, but I would probably call and verify. I remember some info posted on here a while back, maybe use the search function for scott drake gas cap or deluxe gas cap to get a little more info. Hope this helps. BTW, around $175.
  2. I tried to search for this already, but didn't find what I was looking for. How much trouble is it to swap from an 8 inch to an 8.8 out of an explorer with disk brakes. If I understand correctly, an explorer rear is offset some. What will it take to make it work and what is a reasonable price?
  3. Sorry for hi jacking thread, floor looks great BTW. My floors look like crap, I was considering the full floor instead of the partials. I know it cost more, but the time and work it would save may be worth it for me. Will the one piece floor fit through the window openings or did you install through the windshield opening? Do you recall if you had much of a gap at the wheelhouse? Thanks and sorry for hi jacking
  4. CJ Pony sells Dynacorn stuff as well. I think they are running a sale and torque boxes are 20% off. I ordered some a while back while they were on sale, two piece boxes, and gussets were included. I have not installed yet, but hope to soon. The issue with them is that a lot of things are on back order or takes several days to get. I don't mind waiting if I get a good deal, but it can be frustrating at times. They offer free shipping on a lot of items, but if you place a big order and something is not in stock they will wait to ship the entire order when the items arrive with them. Just my experience, not really an issue for me, but just so you know. For example, if one is in stock and the other states 5-7 days, they won't ship both until they get the other and will probably be a couple of weeks.
  5. I am having to repair rear seat and part of the inner wheel house and was wanting to know if they are welded together. I couldn't really tell because it was rusted pretty bad in that area and the other side seemed to have a big gap filled with sealer. Is this the normal to have a gap and just fill it with sealer?
  6. Yeah that's the kind of info I was looking for. I just met this guy and didn't know if he was reasonable or a little high on pricing. I have very little knowledge on most things, especially pricing. What is a good price for a 4 speed toploader or a shaker assembly? I assume the shakers are not the same for different engines so any info would help in determining how he values his items. If I find that he is reasonable and he doesn't mind me sharing his info, I will try and post contact info.
  7. They may go on the release lever between the foam and vinyl, if that makes sense. Took a look at mine and seems to be a black foam piece behind the lever. Not for sure, just a guess.
  8. I found a local guy who has a lot of Ford parts, mostly Mustang stuff. I was just looking around for someone local in case I need something not reproduced. He has a lot of stuff including complete shakers, toploaders, and 9 inch rears and other items. I don't need any of this stuff, but may buy a 9 inch off of him. Just want to know what is a decent price on some stuff so I can see how he values his stuff. If someone can post some prices, especially on an open 9 that will fit, it would be appreciated.
  9. I searched and couldn't find what I was looking for. I will be replacing rear seat area and I would like some pics of the rear torque box/wheelhouse area from inside the car and under if possible with rear seat floor area removed. Any tips are welcome. This is the area I am looking for pics. Thanks
  10. They must have been smoked up the day they installed my seat platform. I did not see that there was a choice on coupe or fastback. On the description it stated cp/fb and I assumed they were the same, interesting. Wonder why yours didn't have the brace installed already? BTW, I have to get one of those seam buster tools like you have Rev. Rev, check your PM's
  11. I ordered some Dynacorn seat platforms and they had the brace in the middle. The one I removed also had the brace, but had a platform on top of a platform. It appeared to be factory because the original paint and sealer was still there.
  12. Are the seat pans one piece or two? Removed p/s only seat pan today and seemed to be two pieces and didn't know if this was correct. I am not talking about the brace, seemed to be a pan on top of a pan. Is this correct?
  13. I assume a repop trunklid is not available for a 69 coupe, is that correct? Just want to double check in case I missed something, I tend to miss things from time to time. :confused1: If I do have to find an original, will a 70 work? Rev, sent you a PM

  15. I don't know too many people who say "I sure am glad I sold that really nice 70 mustang vert I had." From your responses, you seem to be passionate about the car and that tells me you should just keep it, simple enough. It's your baby so do as you wish, but I say keep it.
  16. Can't drive it, nothing left in it but some glass, rear end, some flat tires and a few other items. I was planning on welding some chain link fence to patch the tower, what ya think? LOL
  17. I can't say for sure it's not a locker but I really don't think it is. I do not remember any clunking sounds while turning. IIRC it just made the clunk when letting off the throttle or putting it in gear. Any easy way to check and eliminate that it is a locker or not?
  18. I am kind of new to all of this so I am not quite sure what I am being told. I remember years and years ago it always had a really bad "clunk' when letting off the throttle. I had forgot about that over the years and am now unsure if there is an issue or not. So, do I have an issue or should I just let it ride? It will come out for body work so if I have a problem I would like to fix it at that time. Thanks
  19. Looks great, didn't take long to get them installed.
  20. No tag, but I am almost positive it's an open 8", 3.00. That is what is suppose to be in there from the door tag. I know that is not always the case but I had a friend look at this for me 20 years ago and I think the tag showed it was the factory original. I had forgot that it had that much play being it has sit for so long.
