I typically order from http://www.themustangshop.ca
Still need to pay for shipping (unless you live in Calgary) however I've had nothing but good fortune from ordering from these guys.

i had two plugs that were visibly oozing coolant, but I figured I might as well replace all of them while I had the engine out. As it turns out, *all* of my core plugs were rotten...but you couldn't tell from the outside.
I'm not sure how keen you are on replacing all of your core plugs at the moment, but keep in mind that the others may be on the verge of needing replacement too.

When you do this now and see "view result" also note that over to the right a faded down arrow appears, if you hover over that and click on it a preview pane extends with a similar effect.
Ah, yep I see this. You're making me "click" something. My finger only has so many "clicks" in it before it falls off, so I liked the old "hover preview" feature :) hehehe

oh, i just seen flanders pic, how high is your roof?
9ft ceiling. I can get the Mustang (and my VW) to the top safety stop of the MaxJax, which is 4' off the ground.

When you'd hover your mouse over a topic, we used to get the first line of the thread in a pop-up window. Now we just get a pop-up bubble that says "view result". I rather liked the old preview feature.

I love my maxjax. I should have gotten it years ago!!

hey thanks! That comment helped a lot. I didn't realize they were factory rims, and these may actually be mid-90's bronco rims (red center seems to be on bronco's)

I've found a set of rims for my '79 F100. 15", 5x5.5 bolt pattern. The problem is, the seller lives an hours drive away and I'd prefer not to drive out there just to see that these rims aren't what I want. The rims aren't at his house either, so he can't easily check. Clearly, he's not a good seller which is why these have been for sale for 6+ months.
He says they're "Mickey Thompsons", but I have no idea. My google-fu isn't capable of finding out what rims these are, and what the rims width is (I want at least a 235 width rubber, so 7.5" wide rim).
Anybody recognize what type of rim this is, so I can do some homework?

One thing I've noticed -- previously, when I hovered my mouse over a topic in the forums, the first sentence of the thread would magically pop-up. Now when I hover my mouse, I get a little pop-up that says "View result". Is this a preview type of option that can get changed back to how it was done before?
Great job on the forum conversion! I love this site and the folks on it, so I'd be coming back regardless of format :D

I think problem with a just 1969 registry is that there were so few.
To me, that's what would make it cool :D
for those of us with a "rare" GT, it would be a great repository for us, potential, and future owners.

maybe time to update the forum s/w so we don't get so much?

are there good rebuild kits available for factory A/C units? (ie. DIY job?)

ya I saw that one! I had to cringe when the guy said he wanted to put flames on a shelby, but to each their own I guess. A Shelby should look like a Shelby...not just like another flamed muscle car.

Do the caps easily swap out with the electronic regulators? I have no idea if mine is original or not, but now I'm paranoid!
(ie. http://www.cjponyparts.com/electronic-voltage-regulator-1964-1973/p/VR8/ )

Can't help with your specific request, but I've got a pencil crayon rendering of a 1935 Chevy on my garage wall :)
(scroll through to see her car drawings...no Mustangs yet, unfortunately!

lol :D when I drove my car home (1800mi drive across canada) we had a few nights that resulted with frost in the morning. All I had was shorts :) so the cold air blast up my leg coming from my "missing" clutch linkage boot in the firewall was quite the way to stay awake during the morning's drive!

what wheels/tires are you considering? That sounds like a great size for the rear! I'm hell-bent on keeping raised white-lettering on the tires, so I figured I'd be sticking with 15's.

as a non-welder, I'd have no problem with that amount :)

my 4spd toploader with hurst shifter has reverse as 'left and up'.

for what it's worth, my old rope seal got pretty shredded with the sneaky pete. It didn't help that it was a very old piece of rope, plus the 'pin' that was holding the seal in place meant that it wasn't going to pull out at all.
-
It would have been quite the pain in the arse to remove my rope rear main seal with the engine still in the car (351W).
After removing the rear main, there was no way I could get the rope 'out' from above the crank -- there was a little pin holding it in place that I couldn't see! I had to loosen all the mains and rod bearings to move the crank by 1/2" so that I could get the rope out and remove the little pin. Then, and only then, could a rubber seal be installed.
Doing this with the engine in place would have been an exercise in frustration. Trying to drop the crank with the engine still in car doesn't sound too fun.

looks like a great starting point for a project, and a cool spec car!

I'm wondering if "while you're in there" you make a little USB port on the front or side of the console for charging up various devices. It's small and discrete, and probably easier to do now rather than after it's all wrapped up and done. Above you mentioned you're putting in a 12V outlet, but a USB would be smaller and prevent you from needing a 12V car charger thing. Looks good though!
I think I'm a fan of smooth vinyl (leather?) on the sides that match the dash, rather than carpet. Otherwise, that's a lot of fuzz down there :)
