I posted a WTB for a tilt steering column. I got a bite from someone who knows someone that has one (OEM) for sale for about $700. OUCH. I have been looking around and see that EBAY has them for sale from $200+ to $700+. Big difference and I cant tell why. For example: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1964-1970-Ford-Mustang-32-Chrome-Tilt-Steering-Column-No-Key-Floor-Shift-/151830339439?fits=Year%3A1969%7CModel%3AMustang&hash=item2359cb1f6f&vxp=mtr Does anyone have any experience they can share with these types of tilt steering columns and the huge price differences. I really thought I could get a used OEM tilt steering column for my 69 Coupe for less than $300 tops. Is the one above in the link any good? What am I missing here? MAN did I get a rude awakening. Thanks

Remote trunk release pushbutton switch ideas

Danno You dah man. Thanks for posting this topic. I was able to install the electric trunk release today with two bolts. I did have to muscle it in there but no worries it fit. I got in the trunk with a light to get it all lined up with the trunk lid latch and it popped open the trunk just like you described about 1/4 of the way. I mounted the switch between the bumper and licence plate. There is a little ledge there big enough for the button and a finger and its hidden from site unless your laying on the ground. I did not use the box. I like this mod. Thanks again. Bill -

After installation, what powers or springs open the trunk lid? Seems to me that this mod would need to have a spring installed someplace. Currently if you open your trunklid with the key, you have to lift it open, so what's the advantage of installing this switched trunk opener. What am I missing here? Thanks -
PM me with an email address so I can send you pix of what I think your looking for.
