I blacked out most of the chrome on my Mach in 1982. IMHO, it's dumb, it was dumb then and it's dumb now.I second that.

VERY INTERESTING! I've always applied Body Filler directly to Bare Metal, and wondered how it would work over Epoxy. Now I know. Thanks for the article, Fordrevhead. Much appreciated.

That link was a big help. I think the hangers on the front bow will help. Do I leave them in or take them out just before I glue the front in place? My front two bows won't stay up by themselves will this be a problem? Thanks for the help you have already given. my will be a little easier as both from and rear glass is out.Leave 'em in.

I replaced the Headliner in my 69 Fastback recently. Here's the Link to how I did mine. Maybe it will help you.

1+ to what jmlay said. The brackets hold the lower chrome windshield trim on and the Cowl Vent slides under the chrome trim. The Chrome Trim has to go on before the Cowl Vent. It's almost a catch 22 installation. Here are a couple of pics. One shows the Clips attached. Hope they help.

Don't know if they're necessary, but they were already on so I kept 'em on when I did the breaks.

Here are some pics of the way I did mine. IIRC, I put the Safety Springs on first. Hope the pics help.

The 2011 Mustang Week Car Show Registration is closed. They've reached their maximum number of entries.

When you slide the Push Rod into the master Cylinder, the Clip compresses. There is a groove in the MC that the Clip pops into and that locks the Push Rod in place. (There's no way to re-compress it, therefore the Vise Grip and Hammer deal to break it loose) A spacer between the MC and Fire Wall would probably work, but since you already have a replacement Push Rod I'd go with that.
-
I had the same problem when I replaced my Master Cylinder. There's no easy way to get the Old Push Rod out. I was told by a guy who works in the shop at CJ Pony Parts to put the MC in a vise and attach a pair of Vise Grips to the Push Rod. Then hit the Vise Grips with a hammer until the Push Rod breaks loose. Sound radical, but it worked for me.

These aren't the greatest pics, but I hope they help.

How about the Summertime Fun Festival at the Carroll County Farm Museum in Westminster MD.Saturday July 16
Vintage cars pre-registered by July 8 get free admission!
Car show, bands, craft stuff for the wives and games and other things for the kids.
Oh yea, food! All kinds!
This is my favorite car show, lots of cool stuff at a neat place. I have personally met Coz and JKskinsfan there and is a cool place to hang out for an afternoon and meet some new folks.
Being that the 69 has been religated to track only status, we are planning on taking the Comet. Last year we couldnt make it,we had a race, but the scedule is clear this year.
Sounds good to me as I plan on being there anyway. I'm also open to any other place that's within reasonable driving distance.
