Not being a big fan of Stripes, I would just leave it Solid Red for a while. It just might grow on you and you can always add stripes later. Love the Color BTW.

That good, huh?

I am not a big fan of Stripes. The '69 Sportsroof's "Intrinsic Beauty" and the "Alloy Metallic" that you have chosen is more than enough to turn heads. The stripes will actually detract from it's Inherent Charm and Allure.

Has anyone ever seen a Grille painted "Gloss" Black? Just wondering how it would look.

Hilarious (I'm talking I almost died here) Video

Part two was great. Too bad they didn't run that one. -
I'm far from an expert and maybe someone else can give you step by step instructions for repairs, but the Flexible Shaft coming out of the rear of the Speedometer goes to the Transmission. It has a Drive Gear on the end which runs the Speedometer and the Odometer. If the Gear is broken, neither the Speedometer or Odometer will work. I would guess that is the problem.

Thanks for taking the time to reply dchandler60, but after doing some research on the Net, I've decided that I don't really need the Flex Additive after all. The Plastic Parts that I'll be painting will flex very little after they're installed, and I was only going to use the Flex Additive as a precaution.

A year ago the price of PPG DP50 (Light Grey) Epoxy Primer was $133.90 a gallon, and an additional #80.10 for the needed Catalyst. You might want to try PPG's ShopLine Series. Current price for a gallon of JP Series Epoxy Primer is $65.05 a gallon and $25.60 for 2 quarts of Hardener.

What are your thoughts on the Prestone yellow antifreeze?
jkskinsfan replied to Steve's 69's topic in 1969-70 Technical Forum
Hi Steve. The Link below is to an article from Popular Mechanics. It might answer some of your questions. http://www.popularmechanics.com/how_to_central/automotive/1272436.html -
If you're really set on getting a TATTOO 69fstback, I'd go for the "MUSTANG GRILL EMBLEM".

Here's some pics of the underside of my Gas Pedal showing the "Gas Pedal Spring" on my '69. Is this what you mean?

Does anyone know where I can get a decent priced "Flex Additive" for Acrylic Lacquer? I know Sherwin Williams makes it, but it's around $55 a pint and I'm only going to need 2 or 3 ounces and don't want to end up paying an arm & a leg for 10 times more than I need. Thanks.

I can't help with the Link, but this might help.

That's the right part. Here's a photo of mine to help refresh your memory of how it fits. Sorry I can't be any help finding a replacement.

Removing shift lever for carpet replacement
jkskinsfan replied to foothilltom's topic in 1969-70 Technical Forum
You're welcome, foothilltom. After all of the help that I've received here, it's nice to give a little something back. -
Thanks, 6T9Mach1. I'll check it out.

I installed the IGNITOR II and their FLAME - THROWER COIL, and it works great. It runs so well that I haven't even checked the Timing yet, so I can't say for sure if the Timing will need to be reset or not.
-
Where can you get this "CompCams" stuff, 6T9Mach1? Do the Auto Parts stores carry it?

I used a T-10 Torx Bit to remove mine. -
Anyone have a picture of where rear brake line connects
jkskinsfan replied to bswor's topic in 1969-70 Technical Forum
I have some, bswor. Give me a couple of minutes to find 'em. Here they are. Hope they show what you want. -
Here are some pics of the end on my Seat Back. As you can see the Steel Back extends beyond the Upholstered part and I think that's what is supposed to fill the gap between the Seat and the Quarter Panel. Hope they help.
-
I have the Seats out of my '69. I'll take some pics of the Seat Back and post 'em in a few minutes, so you can compare it to yours.

Check your box for a PM, Matt.

Both PM's have arrived. Thanks. I just sent you an e-mail.

No PM my Box yet.
