  2. It has been rebuilt stock,except for alum intake and edelbrock carb. it has been sitting for about 18 months since rebuild.
  3. Hello, I am looking for advice on how to properly start for the first time and break in a freshly rebult 390, I am sure it is probibly the same for any size. I have been told I should run it at 3,000 rpm for 20 min to break in the cam, Does that sound right? What weight oil ? I was told there is a special tool you hook to your drill motor to circulate oil before starting. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Gary

  7. Hello, I am istalling a old aluminum offenhouser intake on my 69 390, My question is would the torque specs be the same as the original cast iron? Does anyone have the original torque values, it would be very much appreciated. thanks. Gary
  8. hello guys, I have installed my lower dash with my original wiring and I have identified an hooked everything up. I purchased a new under the hood harness along with a new big block gauge harness. I purchased the car in parts so i am not sure where the fan motor hooks up to the harness. I have seen pics of a red wire coming from the fire wall above the heater motor, where does that wire go maybe it is for a 351 only I dont know. any help would be appreciated. thanks Gary on whidbey island

  10. Hi guys, I am in the process of putting my interior back together. I have my firewall insulation blanket and heater box installed along with my gas and break pedal. should I put in the wiring harness and connect to the fire wall first or put in the lower metal dash first. any advice would be appreciated . thanks Gary
  11. I had the same problem and did the same thing, with a razor knife I trimed the rubber untill it moved back and forth smooth.
  12. I am in the process of installing a new rim blow horn switch I have the old one out but I am having a hard time getting the hardend glue out underneath, any ideas? The wheel is in good shape no cracks but some of the woodgrain has rubbed off, what is the process for restoring the wood grain texture. Thanks Gary

  14. Hello, I am restoring a 69 s code mach 1, the 390 has been rebuilt stock. I have a new edelbrock performer 1411 750 carb that came with my purchase of the car is this to much carb? I am thinking of installing a edelbrock 2105 duel plane performer intake manifold, would this be a good match for the gt heads and carb? Thanks Gary on whidbey Island
