  1. I installed door weatherstrip channels and new weatherstrips on my 69 mach 1. when I roll the window all the way up into the weatherstrip there is a quarter inch gap between the quarter window and the door glass weather strip only at the top. it overlaps fine, it is like the weatherstrip is to thick and is pushing the door glass out from the body, the weatherstrip looks good and installed perfecty, I have tried all door adjustments. there is no gap until the last inch where it goes into the top edge of the weatherstrip.:helpsmilie:

  3. Thanks Brian for the information, now I have a clear picture of what needs to happen.after several years of this beauty sitting in my garage I am finally determined to finish it by summer. I have engine and trans installed, both doors complete including glass, the electrical done along with the dash installed . My goal is to make it look like it came from the factory, with everything rebuilt like new.

  4. I am in the process of installing new plugs for my rebuilt 390, The plugs are very hard to get to so I want the longest lasting plugs I can buy, any recomendations? The auto parts store recomended autolite platinum ap 45. They came with a gap of 044 my distributor does not have points, would this be the correct gap for the 390? the plugs that came with the 390 were gapped at 035 maybe that was for points I am not sure. any advice would be appreciated. thanks

  6. Hello, I am looking for advice on how to properly start for the first time and break in a freshly rebult 390, I am sure it is probibly the same for any size. I have been told I should run it at 3,000 rpm for 20 min to break in the cam, Does that sound right? What weight oil ? I was told there is a special tool you hook to your drill motor to circulate oil before starting. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Gary
