1. We bought this car as a project, knowing it needs work! We have been doing a 65 Fastback, the far-east imports are dreadful, just not sure if they can't make a simple firewall piece how can we trust a suspension/structural piece. I think the cutting of the grease access, not showing as well in the pics and rust have caused the failure. It's a mess for sure..... So dynacorn is the only maker? in no big hurry, asking questions now save time and money later! Thanks for the help! tt
2. Here are a few pics of the drivers side shock tower So with the statements of how bad fitting the import parts are am I better at repairing / rewelding this one? Gonna plug the holes if I can put proper zerks so it doesn't need those holes. My boy is looking to get Icar welding certificates, he or I can weld, not shy about welding. What I'm guessing the lube holes were cut with a torch, maybe water sprayed on them to harden or make brittle, the crack got started and found it's way around the shock tower. oh there is the overlap rust, and it needs floorboards. We have a well tooled shop, doing floors on a 65FB, the stamped Canadian parts are much better than the far-east. We had to do some stack shrinking and reshapping of a fairly easy pieces to make. This all takes time, we would like to get this car going, if it was yours what would you do? Take care! tt
3. We have one that has had quite a bit of welding done to it, plus the access holes for the zerk fitting. is there a good shock tower maker and who sell them? Or should we reweld and grind down and paint???? Thanks!
