  1. I also had it bookmarked and kept getting the error. Updated. Not that I post much anyway.
  2. :gunsmilie: So a single turbo set up? Digging this build! More pictures.

  4. Looks like a nice motor! :001_tongue: The shell is pretty much the same my car looked when I got it! Good luck! Someone should move this thread to the build progress section. Update it frequently!
  5. I've been looking at the same one but in a wood wheel. Seems like a good buy. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1965-1969-Mustang-Steering-Wheel-Dark-Pine-Wood-on-Black-14-Running-Pony-Cap-/171478223193?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3AMustang&hash=item27ece60959&vxp=mtr
  6. Was this while Woodward was going on? I was going to venture up there but never did.
  7. Also, just as a heads up....have you researched removing plasti-dip off of primer? I'd imagine it's horrible. Plasti-dip peels off cars that have paint, probably stick to primer. Just a thought.
  8. What steering wheel is that? Car looks great!
  9. What exactly is going on with those two megaphones? lol
  10. Any reason why you guys haven't just used a Painless 12 or 14 circuit kit? That's what I was leaning toward. They're like $300 shipped.
  11. I don't know if it's because I'm getting old but that retro look just appeals more and more. Thanks for the replies, guys! How about for tires?
  12. Can anyone point me to some steelies with chrome dog dishes that are cheap? I'd PREFER for them to not have any logo or brand on them. I'm going to this look: But, Grabber blue with gloss black wheels.
  13. Back for sale! http://cleveland.craigslist.org/cto/4041568913.html
  14. Oh man...... http://cleveland.craigslist.org/cto/3936411491.html Just incase the ad gets deleted..... "1969 ford mustang on a 1995 jeep frame 4x4 runs great. Street legal. yankee lake bound I will sell cheaper if you just want to use for a mudder that gets trailered and I would keep title for a different project 4404540106 Location: Olmsted"
  15. That's my point. I have all the hardware from the car but it's getting old sitting in front of the wire wheel.
  16. Do you recall what was rubbing up front? The fenders, splash shields or the actual control arms?
  17. I know this has been beaten to death but I have to ask. When I used the SEARCH function it kept coming back "No Results". Anyway, I'm looking to pick up a set of wheels I found locally. They're Mustang Bullets and they are 18X9 with an ET25 offset. The tires are 255 45 18. If I'm not mistaken that means they're 25mm, right? Which is just under an inch of offset. Additional info: The car has a 2 inch suspension drop. The control arms are in the stock location (No shelby drop). Do you think these are a good match, typically aren't 69's zero offset? They're a great price so I'd like to snag them. Again, sorry if this is beating a dead horse. It seems like something I could easily find but I'm having trouble searching the forum for it.
  18. Wow, great price! I just searched eBay. It seems like eBay died off as the "Go To" place for parts. Thanks, I'm going to just go ahead and order it and make life simpler.
  19. I'm looking to pick up a master fastener kit for my car and found two on ebay. Anyone know of a cheaper, better or have any tips on which kit to get? I don't think I can bring myself to drop $300 on bolts but I have a feeling it will just make my life so much easier. Thoughts? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1969-70-MUSTANG-STAINLESS-BODY-FASTENER-HARDWARE-KIT_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZalgoQ3dLVIQ26ituQ3dUCIQ26otnQ3d4Q26poQ3dLVIQ26psQ3d63Q26clkidQ3d7155162582656604750QQ_trksidZp5197Q2em7QQcategoryZ34202QQitemZ330094893810

  22. So today I was in the garage messing around, cleaning fender bolts with my wire wheel. Then I got to the fender clips and started thinking. I have a bottle of this stuff on my work truck: Liquid Scale Dissolver by Nu-Calgon. It's a hydrochloric acid that dissolves anything and eats at metal. Straight dissolver with the bolts submerged for 3 minutes took them to an insanely clean level. Basically refinished them by eating off a bit of surface. I really wish I took before and after photos but I didn't. Next time I will. HOWEVER, you must be VERY careful with this stuff. It's hydrochloric acid, VERY DANGEROUS. Rubber gloves, spash goggles, use outdoors only or with a proper respirator, etc.. Then I cleaned my hood hinges and other parts. Wow! They were covered in years of oily grease and gunk. Pulled them out and they're shiny. Now I have to paint all this stuff that I cleaned today before it rusts. :euro:
  23. That's what I'm talking about! Hahaha.
