  1. I'm looking for one of these for my vert, if anyone has one in good condition! Thanks!
  2. Thank you for all the responses guys! I already have a new rubber seal that you listed above. I just wasn't sure about the scoop to the hood. Seems over time the bolts might become loose and end up removing/scratching paint.
  3. I'm going to be installing one of these on my resto...is there a seal that goes between the scoop and the hood of the car? It seems like there should be, but I can't manage to find anything! Thanks for the help!
  4. Yeah, I wish I had thought about that when I was in the welding phase of my resto! I should have moved the riser pan back about an inch! I've been looking for different slides that might work (different placement of bolts), so I can move the seat back further...but I have yet to find something. I think my best option may be to drill into the floor pan and move it back!
  5. Just wondering if any of the other taller folk here has moved their front seats back during their restoration? What kind of alternatives are there to drilling new holes through the bottom support/floor pan/raiser tray? Are there reproduction slides that have the bolts placed differently along the slide? Looking forward to hearing what others have done!
  6. PM me if you have one in decent shape you're willing to part with. Thanks!
  7. Actually, I have a buddy who has one locally. Thanks for the offer, I appreciate it!

  9. Great, thanks Mach. I'll see if I can find something with the C-code on ebay!
  10. I bought the car on the verge of death. Did all the metal work and restored the body. Now I'm working on getting the engine & drive train "right". I have very little time on the engine since we just put it back in this spring and it was undrivable when we bought it. This vibration has been consistent since we've reinstalled it, though.
  11. Whenever I rev up the car ('69 vert 302 automatic)...whether it be in neutral or in gear, I get some vibration. Given that it happens in neutral, I'm confident it's nothing to do with the transmission or anything behind it. So...what does this leave me with? Harmonic balancer...flex plate...fly wheel? I've read some cases of guys having the wrong flexplate on their '69 engine...for example, some guys found they had a flexplate from a mid 80's 5.0 mustang on their '69 engine...which causes vibration because its heavier than what they used in '69. The number on my flexplate is EOST-AA...which I can't seem to find a reference to anywhere. I talked to a guy at a shop yesterday and he mentioned the part #C5AE-A being correct. Can you guys confirm/deny this? I'm having trouble finding info on this. Thanks!
  12. Don't sweat it, that's something to be proud of! Congrats!
  13. Shameless bump, incase anyone has recently come across this part! Thanks!
  14. Just a few update photos. I opted not to get it painted this spring. Instead, we're going to get the rest of it put back together and work out any remaining bugs/alignment issues that need to be taken care of. Just put the back seat and quarter trim panels back in. New upholstery on all of it! I'm not happy with how the reproduction drivers side door fits...I may end up having to weld a small bit of metal to close the gap between the fender (also a repro part) and the door. I'll get some pics of that up soon. Another oddity with this build is that the glass that came with it was different on each side. The driver's side door glass is the '69 glue in type. I have the brackets and all the parts for that. The passenger side is the '70 bolt in style glass...but I don't have the brackets, or anything for it. So...I'm hunting around for something used, rather than buying the $240 reproduction parts from NPD. If anyone has a lead on this, I'd appreciate it :) Here are a few updated pics.
  15. I'm looking for '69/'70 bolt on window brackets. Something like this, but for the passenger side: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/69-1970-Mustang-Cougar-bolt-glass-window-brackets-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem5adf8e3a1eQQitemZ390297696798QQptZVintageQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories#ht_500wt_956 Any help is greatly appreciated!
  16. Good lord, a $100,000 ADD ON! The thing has muscles for its muscles!
  17. Ha! He was actually the first one to come out and look at the stang. He asked me how fast it would go. I replied, "I don't know, why don't you grab your badge and come along for a ride?" He smiled and said he'd like to sometime soon.
  18. I may have blown a bit of my '69 budget this last weekend :bored:. May have to hold off on paint for a while, but it shouldn't take much more to get her on the road in primer more consistently!
  19. I believe that's just the regular Boss 302! I know...it's ridiculous. Especially that dealer markup! Anyway, on the topic of the regular 5.0...I may have found one I'm willing to put money on. I could order a 2012, but there aren't really that many changes coming to it....especially considering I can get the 2011 for ~$2k cheaper, equipped identically. I'll let you guys know if the deal goes through!
  20. I asked the dealer the other day when they would expect them in the show room and how much they'd run. He said they'd be in within the next 6-8 weeks and will run ~$50k sticker. This site seems to corroborate that: http://www.insidemusclecars.com/blog/1051727_mustang-boss-302s-prices-revealed Would be a great unique car, but too much $$$ for my blood...I think I will get plenty out of the GT prem I'm looking at :)
  21. It didn't seem like that much was changing for 2012: http://www.autoblog.com/2010/12/16/2012-mustang-5-0-comes-with-lower-price-new-features/
  22. I think I will go with the Lokar...I'm not looking to make my resto the same as it was in 69. I just want something functional. I didn't realize these cables even existed! Going to put an order in for one here in a while. Thanks!
  23. I'm in the same situation stangme...no car payment...for the moment. I went down to the local ford dealer and strolled around for a while...and a 2011 GT premium caught my eye. Candy apple red. It had a couple of options on it I didn't really care for, but it seemed like the dealer was willing to negotiate the price...after only 30 minutes, I had x-plan plus the $1500 rebate. I'd be more comfortable, myself, if they could get it a bit closer to $30k. The guy told me that they stopped production of the 2011 models a couple of months ago, and are expecting the 2012's to be in between 6-8 weeks. It's unbelievable to me that they would start 2012 production, before 2010 was even over! I guess we'll see how willing they are to deal! Here are a couple pics of it:
  24. I know this is an unusual usage, but I'm still looking for a kickdown rod for this application. Giving this thread one last bump, before I let it fall into the ranks of retired threads. Thanks!
  25. Any of you guys own one? I've been drooling over them for some time...and now that they've stopped production of them, and started the 2012, I'm considering selling my truck and buying one. Not sure if I'd be looking for a vert or coupe yet. I test drove a coupe earlier today...I'm in love with that engine! I talked to the dealer for about an hour...he was willing to give me a $37k stickered coupe for $33k and a $41.5k vert for ~$37k. I'm sure there is still some wiggle room, from what I've gathered of googling/random internet research. What do you guys think of those prices? Anyone have a vert that can comment on road noise (the one they listed me was at another dealership)?
