  2. First things first You need to Diagnose the problem Not throw parts at it Install a temp fuel pressure guage and what the fuel pressure intently start there...let us know
  3. you need to get a adjustable pushrod and measure what you need do Not Guess The C engine needs the proper geometry or valve guides do not last long
  4. I have used it on a couple firewalls...painted it when it was dry Never had a problem with it getting soft

If that was my block I would deck the block and use a Thicker head gasket that would allow your pistons to be OUT of the block but still have a proper Quench That groove is a leak waiting to happen. Aluminum heads Expand and contract at a different rate that the Steel clock and it Will Leak 1952
  11. Are you using a vacumn gauge ?? You could get a A/F meter to tune the carb
  12. X2 I had a back surgery 2 months ago and cant even bend over yet so I have Jim building me a 347 Big Bore For the 70 He is first rate and will answer every question
  13. X2 A flat top would give you compression in the 11:1 range
