  1. Don't want to hijack but how did your hydraulic clutch setup work out? I have a kit from modern driveline. still trying to figure out where to mount the bracket on firewall I also have power brakes and my firewall does not match the picture in the instruction I think it is of a 67/68 firewall.
  2. I have a set of front and rear bumpers still in Ford wrappers. Don't know the dates on them These came with my 69 when I got it from second owner. I believe he bought them back in early 80s. I would prefer to sell to someone here in NE. So they can look them over and probably save on shipping too. email me if interested. tomg621999@yahoo.com 1500 plus shipping. Email me for pics
  3. Do a compression test. Wet and dry test. Probably find a bad one.
  4. What kind of compression readings you been getting? All plugs in or out? I believe you may bent a valve or 2. What revs has the motor been to? Did the motor ever overheat?
  5. Your Modded Boss project has inspired me even more for my project. I don't have the engineering background you have but I do have a few fab skills and ideas that I will try an incorporate in my project. Thanks for the inspiration. And a nice site to get some more ideas from. I want to drive my Boss and not have to worry about a concours car that may get nicked or scratched backing it out of the padded trailer. I have probably heard alot of the comments you have about modifying a Boss. Mine started out with a 65k mile original rusted out NJ car. So I have plans in progress to make it a much more fun car to drive. I became spoiled by driving my wifes 2010 Roush 427R. The handling is fantastic and the brakes are tremendous. So these were my first upgrades. Keep up the great work and thanks again. Tom

  19. What type of alternator Factory GEN1 with high output mod or is it a gen 3 latemodel conversion as they are typically 1 wire alternators and require a dummy wire kit that bypasses the factory regulator but looks stock. I have this setup on my 67 which also has the battery in the trunk. If it is a 1 wire type alternator then you are trying to regulate the current with 2 regulator and it wont work it will back feed thru the stock regulator and smoke it . Don't ask how I know this. I got the solution from PA performance in Boyertown Pa. have not had any problmes since and have over 120 amps available for electric fans fuel pumps and anything else I will ever need. Tom

  21. Just a qusetion what aspect 275 do you have I assume they are 60 series which is a tall tire and would still be a great combo with the 3.89 gear set. I have that gear in my 67 with 245 50 16 tires and it is a little steep for any highway cruising at say 65-70mph but 50 -60 is liveable, I run a 5 speed and get best of both worlds. I wouldn't hesitate to run it if I was on 275 tires and a 4 speed. Tom
