  1. Do you always have to run Zinc or just for the first X amount of miles. How many miles?

  3. A couple years ago I tried the same thing, it was a 69 el Camino. I asked a friend in Law Enforcement to run the VIN, he said it was scrapped a couple years prior. I need to do more research and find out how the state denotes "Scrapped" in their system. If a car isn't licensed for X amount of years the VIN falls off the system, perhaps my buddy interpreted this as scrapped.

  5. I have a pair on spindles on my 69 coupe parts car. No reasonable offer will be refused.

  7. Now that the convertible is done I rolled this in the shop this weekend. This is my high school car, sitting in the garage since the late 80's. Check out the floor pans, it's going back to the original Silver Jade. It's going to be a great winter!

  9. Who owns the sweet looking coupe that was in the parade on Saturday? I bet 100.00 you are on this forum as I suspect there isn't another 69 Mustang for 200 miles from Luna. Very nice car.
  10. I'm not bragging but I thought you guys might like to know. I took first place today against a bunch of Camaros, Mopars, Novas and even a Boss and several Fastbacks. This will be the last of my results postings. I just thought it was cool that a convertible beat a bunch of "Off brands". I didn't think I stood a chance against them.
  11. I suspect for every person that saved his high school car there are 500 who wish they did. I really haven't driven it since 1989 or so however it will start up straight away, it shouldn't but it does. My hats off to you for doing your own paint, I am a perfection freak and I know I don't have the ability to do it perfectly so I had a guy do it, $12,000 later I'm still glad I did. Did you see the post I made a couple months ago about the OCC Chopper I hauled for them? I think if you restored a Harley it would be really cool. Shoot me you email address, I have a video to send you of the chopper when I fired it up. Really cool.
  12. Interesting idea, one for her and 2 for me. She is beef cow, black baldy (black w/a white face). If the calf lives I am going to keep it for breeding. I name the animals I keep so I named the calf after a friend of mine, Greg. BTW, the calf is a female. Aren't you glad we're not friends? Although Ruger would not be a bad name...
  13. Thanks Raven, I appreciate the kind words. This was my first restoation, practice for my high school Mach 1. I think this weekend I am going to play musical cars and put the convertible in a gargage space and move the Mach to the shop area. When the Mach is done I'm going to do a 1941 Slat Grill Willys that I just bought. They say there's only 200 of them left. Mine was built 12-24-1941, 2 weeks after Pearl Harbor so it's a very early war jeep.
  14. The snaps are to install the "male" end on the interior 1/4 trim, the boot has the female portion. I thought I read it took a special tool, like a big C clamp. Perhaps I need to look into it further. I have the snaps and they are solid so a regular rivet will not do it.
  15. She's smarter than other cows and won't get into the pen, she isn't afraid of me and I can beat her with a 2x4 and she just looks at me. I started feeding grain in there so maybe she'll come around. She won't let me milk her so I need to get her into a squeeze. Mastitis is a big worry of mine, I think I'm going home early today to work on it. Any other input would be appreciated.
  16. Thanks guys. I grew up in Shoreline, Shorewood '84. I still live on the dark side, we've had 78 minutes of 80 degree weather in the last year. We've had 6-8 days of sun this summer, this is a horrible place to live. Kennewick on the other hand is probably 110 right about now.
  17. If you need one let me know, they may be hard to find becasue I think I have most of them. They came with a car I bought.
  18. The description of this forum is topics can be Mustang related or not Mustang related. I am having an issue with a newborn calf and need some advice. The calf is not nursing and did not get colostrum until it was 48 hours old. The cow's bag is almost dragging on the ground and the calf cannot find the udder, it's teats are huge. I am currently bottle feeding and I need some ideas to make things right.
  19. I need to install the boot snaps on my car. I beleive there is special tool for this. Has anyone bought it and would you be interested in renting it? I'd return it quickly. I thought it would be a good way to share the cost of the tool. I realize blind trust would be involved however there is an unwritten code amongst those with the good sense to own a 69 Mustangs.
  20. Ever since high school I've had a shaker on my Mach, I have always though it was cool. All my friends had regular hood scoops on their Mustangs and I love the way they look too. Fast forward 30years and I now have a regular scoop on my convertible and still have the shaker on the Mach, the moral to the story is they are both cool and you cannot go wrong. I am an originality freak so I'd say the standard scoop.
  21. Last weekend was the Mustangs NW show. I completed the convertible enough to enter it. They grouped the 69-73 fastbacks, convertibles and coupes together in a class. It's tough to compete against 69 fastbacks in a peoples choice simply becasue IMHO they are one of the nicest looking cars ever made. We took 2nd.
  22. HEY PAK-

outman007 WTF? I think it needs to be deleted.

  24. I think the post office has a box you can buy and you can cram as much crap in it as possible. When I have a chance I'll look into it, are you in a hurry for it?
  25. I have not checked the curve, my engine is pretty much stock and it worked just fine. I paid 70.00 for it. How does 40.00 sound? It's a NAPA part number 48-2815. It comes with the vaccuum advance, I'll also give you the points and a condensor. It's from a later model 351W not a 69.
