  1. I just dropped my 351W in the car using the same manifold and a shaker. Mine is Boss 302 shaker so I may have issues. I'll know for sure in a few months.
  2. Twin Peaks in Scottsdale has the best burger in the world. Best Mexican is Barrio Queen, make sure you order the guacamole, phenomenal.
  3. I have several pairs but I have no idea how much they're worth. I'm in Washington State. Send me your email or phone number and I'll send you pics in the next few days.
  4. Thanks. I have not figured out how to respond to PM's. I need 1968 manifolds.
  5. I need the drivers side only or a matched pair if you have them. Thanks
  6. After a long sabbatical Fat Boy is back in the shop!! Paint is done and the engine and trans go back in on Friday. I need to have the distributor rebuilt, last time I used Tim O'Connor and he did a fantastic job but his website says he's closed. Any ideas on a super anal distributor freak that can do a phenomenal job rebuilding this bad boy?
  7. Can you tell me the date codes on the exhaust manifolds?
  8. Red Head Steering Gear in Seattle Washington, it's all they do and they dot it for customers all over the world. They are a legitimate company with a very nice shop and their turn around time is great, I think mine was next day.
  9. My Mach was sold by a dealer in Indiana, Paul Heuring Motors in Hobart Indiana. Mine was sold in late 1968 not 1969.
  10. I did a bit of research recently and I went with Mustangs Plus. The one they sell is made in the USA and I figure there's a very good chance the quality will be better than made in China Shit. A note about Scott Drake, IMHO some of the stuff they sell is decent/good and the rest is made in China Shit. So far on my latest build I am seeing a lot more non Chinese manufactured products and I'm very pleased about that.
  11. The orange wire that comes out of the heater fan motor in the engine compartment and makes a U turn back through the firewall.
  12. Mustang Market, hands down. The speaker holes are market on the door panel and can be removed if you have speakers.
  13. Does anyone know where I can get the rubber grommet for the heater wire? I ordered some deluxe door harnesses from NPD, they are made in the USA and spot on perfect. I was very impressed. I am seeing a lot less made in China garbage aftermarket parts on the build I am working on now. I believe this is the result of market pressure to improve quality. We need to keep the pressure on and do a better job of publically calling out those who bring inferior products to the market.
  14. Has anybody used this guy lately? He does great work but last time I sent him parts he had them for a while. He wouldn't return phone calls nor did he answer his phone. I'm restoring another car and need some steering parts rebuilt so I've called him twice and no return phone calls. I'm not going through that again. Is there anyone else who is more dependable or at least somewhat responsive? Actually it's StangersSite.
  15. My Mach has the drop, if you jack up the car with the suspension hanging the sway bar hits the harmonic balancer hard enough to stop the engine. It has perplexed me for 30+ years. I replaced the sway bar and hardware, no difference. I just got the car back from paint and was planning to go back to the stock holes, any thoughts on this?

  17. Since everything was safe and sound when I did the convertible, I figured I'd try it again for the Mach. She's not home yet, this might be my last post for a while.....
  18. I have 1, not sure if it's right or left. If you want me to put my hands on it let me know. I also have some other stuff left over form my build, interior header stainless, not sure what else.
  19. Thanks for the info. I think it's odd that all the bases have numbers on them except the 351W, it doesn't follow Ford logic.
  20. I've seen that site before, it actually further complicates the matter. They don't list a part number for the 351W base and although the base in my photo does have a 351C number on it (as well as another number) it does not have the "donut" looking bulge around the carb hole. So it looks like a 351W but has 2 part numbers on it. I thought if someone could look at their 351W base maybe it would anser my question.
  21. Have I stumped the everyone on this or are there that few 351W shakers out there?
  22. If you have a 351W shaker base can you please tell me what number is stamped on it? I found one that is stamped 470071 and 470072. I'm not sure if this is correct or a cobbled together piece. You can see both numbers on the attached. I'm thinking about trading my Boss 302 base for it and I need to be sure it's right. Thank you in advance.
