I just got done putting DII full quarters on my car.It took 5 mins to put molding clip pins on, pretty simple.
What did you use to do this?

Cool...where are you? I am originally from Eaton maybe about 45 minutes north of Ross where jwscarab is located. I live just south of Richmond, Indiana now. Same distance away, really.

What is DSO? There was a relatively unknown special order of 50 cars for the Cincinnati area which were painted yellow. I came across one once, but it was mostly disassembled and the guy had the car shredded before I realized what it was. I'm not sure exactly how they were painted other than being a similar color to Meadowlark yellow. I think Kevin Marti said it was a color from a Thunderbird when I was talking to him about it years ago.

I use vinegar to take hard water spots off dishes... it's a mild acid. May work for car glass as well.

I can't imagine Ford spending money on an unnecessary part. They must serve some purpose.

There are no pins on my full quarters and that includes the pins for the window trim clips.

I used the higher quality export brace to align my towers. I replaced them one at a time with the aprons still in place. Like RPM alluded to, it's possible for you to do a better job than Ford.

yeah, im guessing im going to just have to grind it down to fit. I wonder if the gas cap and tail light fixtures will fit after that.Grind it down?

That car is SO damn sweet!!!! I love the flat black paint!!! Good luck selling!I had the same feeling.... it has me wondering what it would look like to do a reverse paint job with the blacked out hood painted with a color of choice and the rest of the car painted satin black. Hmmm...

I have no experience with any of the pre-assembled pieces like that, but after my experience with the 1 piece torque boxes(not aligned properly) and 69 full quarters(quarter scoop mounting plates misaligned), I will stay away from parts someone welded together in a jig. Adding each piece, one at a time, to my car, allows for some tweaking which may not be possible with the assembled pieces. I'm a very skeptical person naturally, so I'm very suspecting of how well those parts are welded together. I seem to also recall people complaining about the spot weld quality in pieces like this. Your mileage may vary, of course!

ebrake and spring covers were shipped out today, I will PM tracking numbers I left the receipt at work. I made a whoping $4 off you guys together, LOL. shipping was more then expected.Ouch... at least the parts will be put to good use.

I do what DocWok suggested. It helps that I have friends who work in a machine shop. We have the tool room guy grind the tips almost flat... and when they get dull, we send them back to have him sharpen them.

It does not have tapered axle tubes like a 65-66. Looks like a 67-70 8".

Do you have the small pieces circled in red in the pic? They are attached behind the boomerang trim. Some were welded to the car and some were held on by 3 screws.

Oh, and BTW, it took a couple months to get the tank. I don't think they keep these stocked in the US. And they never told me... I won't buy from them again.

The 70 is a 22 gallon tank. I bought the stainless 22 gallon tank from CJ's, but have only used it to be sure my trunk pieces were lined up correctly. Watch out for slivers of metal on the edges. Mine could have used a bit more attention to the edges. I stabbed one of my fingers accidentally.

LOL...yes. I should have been more specific with my question. I've used stud guns, but it was long ago and I have no idea where to buy one and if it matters what brand.
