  1. The one-piece torque boxes are crap, in my opinion. Buy the two-piece boxes if you are replacing the toe board, too. I'm cussing the parts I bought. I believe they are the HD ones from NPD. NPD is great, but these parts suck. The top piece is what I am having issues with... there is no overlap to sit on the angled part of the frame rail and the flange that gets welded to the rocker does does not come close to fitting against it at all. Both sides are like this. I guess I'm getting some experience at fabricating simple parts... ugh. The top section in BuckeyeDemon's gallery looks much nicer.
  2. You kinda lost me at "...when..." Time to pop the door panels off and take a look. No matter what the problem is, you are most likely going to have to do this.
  3. Hey....I noticed on at least one of you inner fender aprons, it looks like you had the same issue I have with the holes not being there for the fender bolts. Did you try to cut the holes in the new panels first, by any chance? I haven't decided how I'm going to deal with this. My new shock towers and the LH front apron have the holes, the other 3 don't. I was thinking about maybe drilling 1/8" holes in the corners of the square hole and the using a small/wore down cut-off wheel the cut the sides. But I'm not sure....hate to risk screwing up a new part.
  4. Cool...thanks guys. It's all new to me, but I have a friend helping me out. He has restored 3 cars, but never replaced a full quarter. So far, we have replaced the shock towers, all inner aprons and the radiator support on my car. The deeper I get into my car, the more rust I find. Good times! :)
  5. I bought new full quarters for my car because the PO repaired the original rusty quarters by simply laying quarter panels cut from a donor car over top the originals and welding them on....so I pretty much have 2 quarter panels on each side! The new ones look so nice! I hope they fit as good as they look! Anyone replaced them and have an opinion of them to share?

    Eternity who?

Anyone else get a private message from a user named Eternity? Seemed real weird as the message contains a link I'm not going to follow and the user has made 0 posts. The private message reads:
  7. Thank you. I'll definitely check it out.
  8. Sorry to post this here, but I feel like I've lost my Mustang home. Every once in awhile I look in to see if the bugs have been fixed, but it now looks like the mods have disappeared. There's a lot of information on that site that seems to be loaded on a sinking ship. I don't know what else to say. It's just really sad to see the site become very near useless to so many people.
  9. Am I the only one that with a screen that makes every one of those pics look like thery are completely different colors? The first link to the paint chip looks gray! Hm. Stupid laptop. I think I'm going with Poppy Green for my car.....another rare color. The original white is just too boring for me.
  10. That's insane. Where are you? If it for sure needs to be from a 69, I saw one complete a few years ago just north of Portland, IN in a junkyard called Barnetts. My buddy said it was still there last time he went parts hunting. I bet they would sell you the whole car for $750 and then you could recoup some money from the parts you don't need. I can't remember if Starks, between Germantown and Miamisburg in Ohio, has any 69 coupes. It seems like they are usually 70's. I have a 70 parts car....but I'm not 100% sure when I'm getting rid of what's left when I'm done with it.
  11. Aren't those just for the securing the bottom of the interior panels in sportroofs? They actually don't have anything to do with mounting the seat.
  12. Specifically a deep well socket on the ratchet will not work, I i recall correctly. Been awhile since I had my center section out.
