  8. How have you installed the "Hollow Rivets" used on the center console cigarette lighter chrome trim bezel? I see their is a clincher tool out their ($100), just seems that it should be easier and more cost effective another way
  9. after 10 hour dry time, take a large sheet of paper and dump the remaining flocking material onto the paper. You can salvage this excess fiber for future use. I give a good pat to the back side of the part working on to get any additional loose fibers out. give it a feel! Nice little mod
  10. So you know how all the modern cars have a velvet feel to the lining of the glove box and center console. Well the process they use is called Flocking, and use ion generator for application. I have found a product that works great and a fraction of the cost to add the velvet to our mustangs glove box. I cleaned the glove box lining and center console lining with soap and water followed by denatured alcohol. I take a small brush (plumbers used these for flux) and apply the black flocking glue that is supplied with the kit. REALLY apply a lot of this colored glue, do not skimp on it or apply it thin of coat... trust me it is worth it!!! I take my Flocking applicator and start pumping the nylon flocking material on the surfaces evenly. when you think you have enough flocking material on the surface, add more. Do Not touch the flocking this will mat down the fibers and reduce the velvet feel. When you have an excessive amount of fiber on the surface set to the side for 10 hours to dry.
