So i have a 1969 mustang A/C car with all the original vents, box, radiator, compressor, etc. The original compressor is so bulky and so is the radiator. I would prefer to use a more modern smaller units (plus probably more reliable).
My question is; can i use a modern compressor, radiator, and parts with my original a/c-heater box and vents inside the car??? Or am i just opening up a can of worms that is just not worth attempting? ANyone try? any success/failure?
I just do not want to modify my interior

So i purchased a 1969 mustang mach 1, but one item is missing. The headliner bows! I have been looking for a set, and came across a guy who said he has a set. a set of 4.... This has me a little concerned since i know the 67-68 fastback has only three. I don't want to have some guy sell me a set of coupe headliner bows, and just saying they are fastback set to get rid of them. Please help me with this one? and if you have a set to sell also let me know.
(on another note, i did have an opportunity to have a free set of bows off a parts car but totally spaced out when it came to grabbing these parts, ooopps)

So i recently purchased a couple of 69 woodgrain instrument panels and am preparing on detailing/restoration of these parts. One thing i have noticed, is the chrome around the gauges on the outside is just a yellow color. How does a person go about restoring this? I don't trust the chrome spray paints out their, and do not really want to spend $150 per part for someone to vaccum chrome the plastic. What are my options? any suggestions or pictures of completed steps you may have taken?

i currently have a 1969 mustang with a AUTOmatic Power brake pedal. I wish to convert to a manual transmission. My question is can i have a power brake pedal with a clutch? or would i have to convert my brake pedal to a non-power brake pedal to work with a clutch????

yeah i know the bigger scoop should be moved forward, but the hood has the two oval cutouts for the smaller hood scoop turn signals. I guess i will be stuck with the smaller original scoop and just try to keep my engine height lower (oh well for the Vic JR intake manifold!)

I am going with a 351w in my car, and do not know how my clearance will be once the engine is in (incase i use a high manifold). I know the little scoop is original and looks nice, but with the larger i can open my hood and make an actual useful scoop. what do you think???

i have been checking every day, just taking in all the info! I think the only way to get a really good looking instrument panel is to pay the High dollar re-chrome job, or wait for a repro to come out. in the mean time i have been checking out all the chrome systems, but still $$$. Found the 1/8" mylar tape to use on my rim blow restore job in the process!
thank you for all your information!
