  1. Changed the fuel pump, filter and lines in engine compartment and still have the problem. Any other suggestions?
  2. Need assistance troubleshooting why my car now is bogging down as if shutting down, then backfires and accelerates again, or rather than backfiring it completely shuts down. It's a 351W 4V with a 4speed. Was thinking it was timing so I backed it down closer to what the book calls for, but same thing. Thoughts, ideas?
  3. Thanks. Good to know. I'll look for a set of 70 rear quarter windows.
  4. I have all the parts to swap my glue-in door glass to '70 bolt-in glass for my convertible (alignment issues even after regluing) and I'm wondering what folks have done with the stainless trim and weatherstripping from the '69 door glass... Did you install it on the '70 glass, or swap the rear quarter windows to '70 glass as well to have it like the '70 set up (no trim on the door glass; trim on rear quarter window), or keep it like the '69 set up? I ask because the stainless trim and weather stripping for the '69 door glass hangs down on the bottom of the glass about 3 inches without attaching to the glass because the bottom of the '70 glass is cut at an angle vs. straight on on the '69.
  5. Good luck with the project. Will be following the progress. Please keep us posted.
  6. Curious. What kind of glass are you getting and from where? New tempered glass? Carlite? Will it have the logo and date codes?
  7. Is it just me, I'm not seeing any pictures or even Red Xs in the posts?
  8. Anyone know what are the correct brackets/clips that secure the covertible top hydraulic lines to the body? Any idea where to find them...are they reproduced?
  9. You'll eventually get there; just takes some time. Good to see still progressing; keeps the pics coming. Happy New Year.
  10. Anyone know what the 4 extra rubber strips are for that come with the replacement conv top weatherstripping kit?
  11. Yes, there is a Radio Shack here. What kind of capacitor & where would I install it?
  12. No external amp. Just the stereo, two door speakers and a dual cone speaker in the dash.
  13. I have a complete unit with recent repro bezel and handle. Includes wiring for $75.
  14. What about KYB gas-a-just shocks...how are they? Are the GR2s better?
  15. Danno Wish I knew about you a couple of years ago. Technical question for you. I had my Am/8-track converted to Am/FM 8-track w/RCA connectors and now every time I turn the car off with the radio on it makes a "ooohh" noise, except when I have the blower motor on low. Any idea on what may cause this or what I can do to fix it. Driving with FM is great, but the noise is annoying.
  16. OK, thanks guys. I ordered a red bumper and will install on the pedal frame vs. the pedal. Interesting when I looked up there, there are the same size holes on the pedal itself and right above it on the frame.
  17. Anyone have any pictures of the routing or where it attaches elsewhere on the car besides the firewall like stangs-R-me posted. I've got it installed but the routing is not right and I tie strapped it for the time being to prevent from melting on the exhaust. The digram in the Osborn manual is not helping.
  18. I'm missing the bumper stop and I didn't see one in the NPD catalog. Where on the pedal assembly is it supposed to go? Picture anyone?
  19. It's part of the headlight switch...need to swap out the headlight switch.
  20. Just installed my top loader 4-speed in my car to replace the auto trans and I'm having a hard time to get my clutch pedal to line up with the brake pedal. First is it supposed to be...been awhile since I had a manual trans car, but I seem to remember it that way. I did not install a set of new pedals as they were already in the car since it was originally a 4-speed. The clutch is a new three finger type and I have played with the adjustment several times. I can get it where the pedal is low to the floor or a couple inches below the brake pedal. When I adjust further to get it up higher by the brake pedal, it gets to a certain spot and then the pedal pops/springs all the way up as if I reached down and pulled it up. Is there supposed to be a stopper of some sort to keep the pedal from popping all the way up? Any suggestions on how to align/adjust the pedal?
