What did you do to/for your Mustang today?
zach69grande replied to 69_Mustang's topic in 1969-70 Technical Forum
Fired her up, cleaned some dust off, ran over the list of stuff I need to do buy and fix... Its not much... but maybe this year I can get brake lines, fuel lines, suspension, and paint prep taken care of.. Axle was rebuilt last year, all the suspension parts are ready to go, just need to finish up a little bit of paint underneath first... just a few more years... -
That looks great! I can't wait to get one of those in my ride. So - would you recommend dynamat or some similar insulation between the headliner and the roof?

First contact party did end up taking it. _Item SOLD _ thanks!

still got it. I'll take less! :)

Monte Carlo bar and stock air cleaner?
zach69grande replied to machm1970's topic in 1969-70 Technical Forum
I have seen a 69 at a car show with one of the dual snorkle spectre units and a monte carlo bar - but if you're looking for the pure factory set up, I think you're out of luck. -
I may v5e interested in that trunk lid! Can you send pics to zachDOTcossAT g mail ? Im in western pa, where are you?

you can see a small repair that was made to the scoop - looks like it still needs a little fill and smooth

The forum doesn't like the file format - I'll keep working on adding them here, but feel free to message me with an email or number to mail/text them to.

Hi, I have an aftermarket hood with a mach style scoop mounted. Holes were not cut for signals, but I have the template. I've decided I would rather have a shaker set up. I have the scoop grill, 302 emblems too. Located in Greensburg pa. $300 or best offer. I all send pics if interested.

What did you do to/for your Mustang today?
zach69grande replied to 69_Mustang's topic in 1969-70 Technical Forum
yep - did the same thing today, gave her a pat on the quarter panel for good measure -
I keep tossing the idea back and forth of making my scoop functional. It's not for clearance issues, I just think it would be "cool" but if there are no real performance gains I dont know. I also thought about putting some screen in the turn signal spaces, cutting the hole, and sealing the air cleaner to the hood to get the down draft off the windshield... Has anyone ever done an official test to see where the air pressure is on the hood? I recall seeing a thread here that went back and forth over "dead air" at that spot on the hood..

What did you do to/for your Mustang today?
zach69grande replied to 69_Mustang's topic in 1969-70 Technical Forum
i picked up a T5, bellhousing, shifter off a guy swapping out to a big block and bigger tranny, finished up fixing my garage door so it would open today, and picked up the right size socket to finish pulling the rest of the front suspension off. -
I never found mine. Carpet, seats, headliner, all out and inspected... I'm hoping maybe it's still wrapped around some wiring..

Where to source transmission for 5 spd swap
zach69grande replied to zach69grande's topic in The Garage
nope. already out of the vehicle. here's a pic they sent https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/m1egWEw5P-W9D8YMr2PqavwxQZ1SCXrDi8DIdqBV008?feat=directlink -
Hello, So I found a guy locally that's offering a T5, bellhousing, clutch, flywheel, clutch pedal and shifter for $850 It was in another guy's 69 coupe behind a 351. That dude is swapping out for a big block and wants something stronger than the T5. Sounds like a good deal to me, it's at a local shop of dudes that do nothing but build muscle cars and specifically mustangs. Looking on Ebay - i see some rebuilt trannies for less - but this one is claimed to have been rebuilt and only driven for about three summers with less than 20K on the tranny. I haven't gone to look at it yet... but I'm leaning pretty hard toward picking it up because I want to do the swap in my coupe. How does that sound for a package deal? What specifically should I peak at? Any other places I should look to source a rebuilt T5 for a swap? Ebay, known websites, etc? thanks for the insight! Z

I saw somewhere that listed these for a 69 - I'd like to put something like this in my coupe - 6x9's in the package tray mounted from underneath and component 5's in the doors and this for the bass http://www.cjponyparts.com/custom-autosound-backseat-driver-subwoofers-and-amp-kit-coupe-1965-1968/p/SPKBSD/
