  1. Where are you located please? Any chance there is an original trunk mat in either of these cars?

  4. Grande has wood grained trim in the interior rear quarters if that is what you are asking.
  5. It is a zero with two dots below. 1970.
  6. Definitely aftermarket. Originals had the threaded end swedged so the low profile looking nut would not come off and no provisions for grease. Also should have a C7 number molded in the arm, though later NOS service parts might not have this.
  7. It is possible to gut the repro battery you have, install an AGM type inside, and glue it back together. It is a messy job but it works and will run you maybe $100 to do.
  8. Here is the detail at the hood. I don't have a good pic handy for the routing from there down to the other harness.
  9. Roger Parks has several parts coupes and he can't be far from you. He is in Webster. http://shadyoaksmustangranch.homestead.com/
  10. I've had this issue twice. The first time, my car was at a shop and my guy there found a deep socket about the same diameter as the wavy part of the lock. He heated the end of the socket cherry red, stuck it on the lug nut and whacked it with a hammer, forming a removal tool that fits in the lug. Second time, I took a picture of the lug nut, emailed it to McGard, and then they helped me buy the tool that fit it. I didn't have a torch to use to replicate the first method and the wheel had very deep lug nut recesses so there weren't too many options that wouldn't ruin the wheel.
  11. I have an old Hurst C/P instruction sheet and it shows a mounting plate for a '70's style b/u switch. The plate goes under the 3rd gear stop bolt jam nut. It is listed as p/n 117 6889 so you might ask Hurst about this p/n when you call them.
  12. I also bought parts from Ron. The transaction went well, with very good communication. It took a while to get the parts from Vancouver to FL (!!) but this was a USPS thing, since they held them in San Francisco for a week! Thanks Ron!
  13. Info here; http://www.1969stang.com/mustang/forum/showthread.php?t=10190&highlight=light
  14. The parts book lists this same driveshaft for 351 with 3 or 4 speed trans, 302 with C4 or 3 speed or 4 speed and 250 with C4.
  15. According to the parts book, a '69 351 4-speed car uses a 3" dia. X 50-7/32" driveshaft.
  16. There is also an o-ring seal around the pump body, and even after you remove that retaining ring it may be "stuck". Squirt some WD40 or something in there and keep wiggling at it.
  17. The shop manual indicates that when the distribution valve senses a front brake failure (loss of pressure), it shuttles the piston to put full pressure to the rear brakes. Maybe your valve is in this position and explains the rear brake lockup? I think you need to determine if your distribution valve is centered (brake light switch is not activating the dash light) so you can eliminate this possible cause of your problem.
  18. Not photo shopped but a real one pretty close to yours in raven black;
  19. The PARK warning light came with the visibility group option. The BELT warning light came with the Deluxe belt option. On a tach dash car, both were in holes below the cluster. On a non-tach dash car, one was in the cluster and one was in a hole below it. I don't recall right off hand which one could be in the cluster but I think it was the BELT light.

  21. The non-vinyl top cars I have seen up close had these trims pieces painted a medium gray from the factory (regardless of body color). My personal theory is vinyl top cars got black and others got gray, but that could be argued.
  22. Yes! Thanks; don't know why I couldn't find it on my own.

  24. I scanned all 146 pages of pics of the cars and other items in this auction and could not find this coupe (I couldn't get the search function to work). Anyone else see it listed?
