  1. Im not aware of anyone using brakes, steering etc. is this stick or auto? installing the engine requires removing shock towers and installing an IFS aftermarket setup. using the stock harness is beyond difficult. I use Ron Francis for my Coyote with 6r80 trans. but if your doing stick you can use Ron or Ford racing.
  2. what did you do for the fly by wire pedal? if you can shoot me a pic so i get an idea of how it should go would appreciate it ! thx
  3. yea, i have a feeling im gonna end up buying the damn thing even though i cant possibly use it :-) i have the same problem bringing home ugly dogs.
  4. If i had the room id pick it up just because ! https://providence.craigslist.org/pts/6071513289.html
  5. I went through withdrawal, had to have my fix
  6. Thats exactly it, fender had a hell of a gap. Problem with just replacing is it still would end up low, I think the firewall somehow is a bit low. nothing a welder cant fix :-)
  7. Yes, sorry, for some reason i thought i was looking at subframe. crap im getting old and need quadfocals at this point :-)
  8. Ok, i as wrong about being short on the frame rails, thank God! I don't know what happened with the fender aprons to firewall, it all seemed good and the aprons married right in, but for some reason they are about 3/8 too low. I mounted the fenders and remainder of the aprons, then cut the rear aprons horizontally and up and they popped up into position. Usually I would cut them out, but why bother when its right under the hinge. i patched it in and tomorrow will run a tig weld of silica bronze to clean it up. I gotta say, I don't know how you guys work with this crap thin gauge steel. in my business the thinnest is 16 ga.. I give you body guys allot of credit, there is no room for error with this thin stuff. here are some pics, if anyone has a clue as to what could have gone wrong let me know so i know not to repeat this.
  9. how are you going to make the connection through the subframe connector?
  10. im sure it would, but the cost seems high. being i have to make my own lines anyway, i could probably figure out a late model unit IF it is smaller.
  11. I agree, wood is not my friend either, at least with metal, you can weld in screwups. the shifter i have is from a 2013 mustang, it does have the cable that connects right to the tranny, i was thinking of trying to fit a console from a 2013 model. The tranny is huge, but also short. had to open the tunnel quite a bit, where the old shifter hole was is exactly where the driveshaft would connect to the tranny.
  12. I have a few sets, what color is your car? not that the color will match, but if its a shade off you just hit the housing with your color.
  13. sure, ill make those for you. the handles are used, the chrome is ok, but not pristine. the key to these are the sheet metal and the support bracket that comes in behind it that also gets welded in. thee handles themselves I usually buy from a guy on ebay in england that sells brand new ones. but of course for a driver these are just fine.
  14. HA! So Bottomless pockets it is :-)
  15. I have learned a valuable lesson today, if you dont have a jig when attempting this kind of resto, chances are shit will be off. my fender aprons attaching to the firewall, somehow are facing down slightly even though they are dead on the firewall. Im so pissed I havent taken pics and am too embarrassed to show it, although i will tomorrow to save someone else this headache. i also am about 1/2 shorter on one side of the frame rail. it is near to impossible to measure firewall forward on these cars due to different indentations. Plus it was to fit right in on the full Dynacorn floor. Again, lucky i have a metal shop, but still pissed !
  16. OMG ! are you being sponsored for these items or do you have bottomless pockets ! :-) over $1200 for the shifter ! I guess my hand will have to suffice ( as usual :-)
  17. Im starting to wonder if there are any a/c heater boxes that would work from a late model car, That vintage air stuff is nice, but some things I cant justify ( until of course I screw it up and end up spending double )
  18. 1st Attempt ! you must be kidding, Ive seen pro's that couldn't come up with what you did on a first attempt !! this is your new calling .
  19. Thats one of the hang-ups im having, My 6r80 came with a shifter, but there is no way to mount it in the tunnel, i would have to make a large console. what are you using for the push button? the 6r80 has P R N D S , no 3 section like D 2 1 like im use to.
  20. The heat and a/c is still a work in progress, still figuring it out. as for the door handles they have a crappy cast part on it that lifts, so i make a piece from 1/8 steel with a hole in it so it pulls up on the rod. i can give you a set for $200 with the door sections, I bought 6 pair from him just to have for any future cars i feel like doing, Ill have to give you dims on where to center them so you dont hit the door lip
  21. Ok, its official, I do hate you :-) did you cut off the bottom portion of the metal dash?
