  1. Thanks. Thinking doing this to my '65 El Camino
  2. Used Dyna Mat in my '65 El Camino when I redid the interior. Very, Very, quiet now !
  3. Why not use Dyna mat or something similar ?
  4. Have them as well. Never heard any rattles. Make sure the latches at the bottom are tight. Or have a loud exhaust.
  5. The stories make it more interesting. Besides I'm more then 30 feet away. Looks great !
  6. Original poster was on here last back in 2019. LAST VISITED February 8, 2019
  7. From Edelbrocks website. Manifold height: A-3.55", B-4.75", same as stock; Carb pad height: 4.15"; My shaker fits nicely in the opening not too high. If the 3" spec was correct my shaker would be lower
  8. With my car I had an Edelbrock Performer RPM. This put the shaker in direct contact with the hood. After researcing intakes I found their Torker manifold to be the stock height. This cured the clearance issue.
  9. Where did you get the LED modules ? Want LED tail lights for my 65 El Camino.
  10. Did my 1965 El Camino a few years ago with an updated harness from American auto wire. Previous owners really butchered the wiring. Had some smoke from under the dash while coming back from the Syracuse nationals and made up my mind. Took it in small batches. American auto wire was there on the phone whenever the paperwork didn’t make sense. Last summer the wipers stopped and they helped me through emails and calls. It is a big step all together. But easily manageable in small tasks. I’d do it again. But I had the car for about 10 years before that happened. Drive it first. Enjoy the experience
  11. Very nice. Hard to tell its been repaired in those photos. When it is under the air cleaner you will never see it.
  12. One loads in from the front as an assembly. The 8.8 has all the guts inside.
  13. Had something similar happen to me. Traced it back to corroded connections at the solenoid. Took everything apart, cleaned. Nothing ever happened in the years since
  14. This has got me thinking about building a 1940 Ford pickup. Orange with a red interior. As a kid I built a model of one that I've always liked. Think it was a Monogram unit
