  4. where did you buy it and if you dont mind telling me how much it was?
  5. Vacuum can wont work it only makes 10 inches of vacuum with this cam. Been there done that years ago. Ill go with hydro boost or a vacuum pump. I might even toss the whole setup. Im not getting any younger time to get it right. Checking my options right now.
  6. OK I finally got it together, carb is getting close to perfect. New wheels and tires, it just needs a wheel alignment. The brakes are terrible with this big cam only 8 inches of vac at 1100 rpm. They were never any good with 12 or 14 either. Whats the best options? Vacuum pump, hydroboost, toss the whole system? It has reasonably good stuff but never really stopped very well never could lock them. Now I need 2 feet on the pedal and its scary.
  7. Mine before it was painted now its not the same blue but close.
  8. Got it almost totally together wheels and tires showed up today.
  9. look here http://www.dscmotorsport.com/asp/products/content_cylinder.asp?SubCat=9&GroupID=2
  10. This time I wrote a check, Im not as ambitious as I was 35 yrs ago when I got it.
  11. Edelbrock streetmaster port matched to the heads. Shaker fits fine carb in same location. One of the new Edelbrock has the carb shifted an inch to equilize the runners. I think its the RPM but im not sure.
  12. I just need to make up my mind on wheels. As I get older im thinking going more conservative like a 15x9 with a 6"bs prostar or weld wheel and 275/50/15. Sugestions will be appreciated. Im staying away from the 17s I dont like the big wheel look maybe im old school.
  13. Boss heads are huge. The spark plug is in the valve cover they are quite differnet. The othe 429 heads (385 series as they call them) look more conventional like clevaland heads. look at this http://www.theoldone.com/boss429head/Latest_BOSS_head.jpg Im not so sure the block is the same as a 385 series. Dont mix up a 429 cobra jet and a boss they differ in price by a few extra ZEROS IN THE PRICE. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NOS-BOSS-429-NASCAR-Mustang-C9AE-B-head-pair_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33621QQihZ012QQitemZ220216198489QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1969-Boss-429-Mustang-Refurbished-Heads_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33617QQihZ007QQitemZ170203691204QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NOS-BOSS-429-NASCAR-494-CAN-AM-Holman-Moody-alum-block_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ107063QQihZ012QQitemZ220216506793QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
