  3. I did most of dis-assembly but for glass I called a shop as I didn't want to screw up the trim or worse the glass. Had them re-install and picked up a rear window leak (she nevers see's the rain so I don't care)
  4. after living in NC for 12 years - I'm almost over the phobia of snakes and spiders... Never had these venomous creatures in Chicago land... It's a trade off - weather for venom... being it's ~ 50F today here - I LIKE IT!

  8. so, RI says that while a vehicle is inoperable, not road worthy, not plated and even not registered you still pay taxes? Didn't they know us Americans went through a revolutionary war and succeeded from England? BTW - where did they come up with book value? My 69 in NC is "valued at wholesale, blue book or private party asking price for tax purposes." As of 1/1/11 the value was $2,890...
  9. When i started the restoration the PO had dynamat in the doors.... problem is moisture was trapped between the mat and the door. When I pulled the mat off half the inner door skin came with the mat.... New door skin needed. Don't get me wrong it's good stuff and I had no hesitation using it for the 65 vette restoration......

  13. on the old motor 351w .030, I dropped the holley, tried another holley copy cat and finally went with Edlebrock 580CFM carb. No rebuilds, no float adjust and it ran like a beast! then I stroked it - back to holley ~750 CFM and now fighting the dead spot due to vacuum secondaries - which will be corrected in the spring.
  14. congrats - sounds like a beast want to see pics so here is a site link on how to do it... http://www.1969stang.com/mustang/forum/showthread.php?t=2551&highlight=posting+pictures BTW - I am moving to a Keisler RS600 when they can build it. Want the overdrive and get rid of the TL chatter....

  17. original order placed end of June.... October promise... Follow up in September as I needed to go for the clutch resulted in re-promise to x in February... Nice email arrived last week stating the have the necessary incoming parts, good message - follow on call two days ago stated still February. If I want a RS500 I can get that in two months as their order system is on date of order placed so I can jump but I really need/ want the RS600. BTW - just got an e-mail today as they are celebrating their 20th anniversary. Nice history and ironically enough a $200 coupon for ANY NEW ORDER! tick tock... tick tock...
  18. Im junking the toploader for a Kiesler RS600 - just have to wait 8 months.... Not as bad as going through an auto to manual but can't wait for February to come along..............
  19. There have been lot's of threads about this question on all forums... If you google search the topic you will find lots of threads like this one. http://www.bestcovery.com/best-oil-filter I use Purolator Gold myself - never Fram.....
  20. What are you going to do with the new toy eventually? If you are going to go to the point of a rebuild/ stroke, run the electric fuel pump wiring, electric pump and go with a new tank and never be bothered or have to worry about anything fuel related delivery again... I've learned the hard way - penny wise today will be dollar expensive later...
  21. I have a set of this style and would have given them to you for shipping.... These are junk compared to the "pump" type or the two round rubber types you state.... The wheels on the pan type will go square and they will lock up - China is the foundry for these types.... I truly hope you have better luck than I did....
