  9. check locally - if there is a good auto part store in town they already have the fitted lines that you just have to bend.... Worse comes to worse, cut and flare kit - cost under $20 plus $10 for line...
  10. I personally would simply replace the bad section of line..... Why mess with it. Short enough and easy to get to. Wouldnt want to contaminate the fluid or damage to the wheel cylinder....
  11. Don't forget pilot and throw out bearing... The spline count will dictate your choices I found out for a clutch I run a Lakewood bell housing. When I put the RS600 in ended up going with Centerforce DFX clutch and PP. No issues at all! Great feeling as I also run cable Had Zoom clutch - Chinese junk.....
  12. this car and the pics were originally seen two - three years ago on e-bay I believe... from Wisconsin IIRC.
  13. My car when originally delivered had 70 quarters for the reason stated above - no 69 quarters available in the 80s also had a 70 front end (accident?) ...... and car even had a Boss stripe..... We kept the hood, shaker and bumper. New buckets, grill etc. and fenders as originals were full of Bondo.
  14. check out the QA1 shocks - $ but I Love them! http://www.qa1.net/qa1_motorsports/drag-and-street/shocks-and-struts/stock-mount-shocks-and-struts/mustang-shocks-and-struts.html

  20. with a name like Nightowl have you been hording the mice in your headliner? shame on you! Hows the Javelin? 409?
  21. just took my girl out tonight wit the Keisler RS-600................... love it! Best upgrade besides the stroker engine :thumbup1: finished up the tweeks today as the X-mission alignment required to "tune and beat" the headers for the R&P knuckle to stop the binding while turning and the shaker scoop had to be re-aligned.... Best upgrade I ever did... Whether TKO, Tremec, Keisler whatever you will love it!!!!! Reason I did the Keisler - for the money a bolt it with little or no modifications.... wanted to keep original console and as much aspect of the car as original (minus restomod upgrades not seen)... Came with everything, speedo cable, reverse light harness x-member, Xmission mount, pilot bearing, even came with new driveshaft! had to get the 26 splnie clutch (centerforce DF) which over the POS Zoom I had was another key upgrade!
  22. did my vette with Soda... ~$1,100 2 yrs ago. Took it down to the raw glass vs. stripping..... Wont hurt glass, chrome or stainless! Need to neutralize it via vinegar and yes the soda gets everywhere..... Would I do it again - yes, especially on metal as it leaves a residue while not rust proof slows the rusting down compared to stripping....
  23. well after close to a year I did receive the RS600, bought a new Centerforce Dual Friction clutch and after a couple of weekends of effort I finally shelved the top loader and POS Zoom clutch... great package everything from back up light connections to drive shaft came with it. All I had to buy was Mercon ATF fluid and the shifter handle. All in All I wished I would have done this years ago. Now when driving at 70 MPH the Tach shows 1,600 RPM versus 3,500 RPM... Car runs cooler, quiter and all around GOOD! Thanks Kiesler......
  24. it called ZDDP.... Bigger question is does the engine have solid or hydraulic lifters... Solid,~ yes more than likely more zinc content or a cam lobe can get wiped
