  1. Once places have your money its hard to get back, but I will say this, don't want another day before going back and trying to make it right. Go armed (proof that the "impossible to find" parts exist), BBB, and handing out flyer's etc etc. in your head ready to be spit out if needed (mention the flyer's and BBB in a calm manner saying you do not want to be forced to do so, or something to that effect.). BE NICE! do not go in screaming, or with a bad attitude, have a mature adult conversation with the owner or manager of the shop and explain everything and how you feel you were ripped off (bring a notepad with stuff written down if you have to, don't rely on memory). Unfortunately you never had an original quote, so proving that you only wanted him to do NECESSARY repairs will be hard, but be nice and don't jump down his throat although you may want to, it 99% of the time yields better results. However if being nice doesnt work after some time, you already lost, so rip him a new one you'll feel better  BTW: this method has proven to work for me many times, however before I let anyone touch my cars I always have a written quote (learned the hard way as it seems you have too)
  2. I went with Headmen shorties, but be warned the ceramic coating on them is the worst I have ever seen. They rusted in no time like a year, and by the second year it really looks like crap. BTW this car gets driven 2k miles a year, and is garage kept. I went with shorties for ground clearance, I had the longs but I was bottoming out on everything and it was no fun, just something to keep in mind.
  3. oh hell yeah! This has been a long time coming, now I don't have to steal my sisters peddles from her fastback (shes got an auto, it used to be a 4 speed car) so iv been eyeing them for a while. She wants to put stick in at some point, so now ill let her keep her peddles.

    Fact or crap?

hmmm interesting, thanks, so I want to look for the GF-3 and GF-4 ratings not sm, and since my oil i got was environmental crap, I bet its one of those ones I don't want for my high cam profile *sigh* How bad would it be to leave that stuff in for 2k miles or so, think its ok or should I get it outta there? BTW I drive the crap outta my car, for the most part, so it will be abused:biggrin:

    Fact or crap?

Hey guys, I have herd a lot about the SM rated oils being bad for our engines because they do not contain the anti friction additives necessary for older engines. From what I understand they made this oil to cut down on emissions and to not burn up the cats on newer cars, but it doesn't effect old cars since non sm oils don't harm anythign but converters. I have also read that this is just a myth, but can anyone put some truth behind this? I see the nice 0w30 Mobil 1 on the shelf but it is SM rated and all environmentally friendly or some crap, so im worried it might not work. The main reason I ask is thats the oil I just put in my car, then realized it was SM rated, I was all excited to actually find 0w30 on the shelf without havign to order it I bought it without thinking.:helpsmilie:
  8. click the pic in my sig, that is a 295/50/15 on a 3.5" backspaced rim, FWIW the rim is 15x10.
  9. They sell full frames with coilover setups, the mustang 2 front end, 9" rear etc. but they cost 10-11k, I forget where I saw it though.

  11. I like them!!! Fake Shelby scoops are overrated, they just create more drag when you're into those triple digit speeds:shifty:
  12. My parents just had theirs done its about 12 feet wide, probably 150-200 long and they laid 4" down, top of the driveway like the top 50 feet, is about 30 feet wide, total came to just about 6 grand.
  13. god damn thats a nice car... and to think I had the chance to own one but had no where near the cash to pick it up:hang:
  14. Thats funny, I have a pic of my car next to a boss 302 (same color and they were twins, apart form coupe and fastback) and the guy didn't really wanna take the picture I had to beg him. He was just pissed because my car looked a hell of a lot more aggressive and he was driving a 4x4 mustang:biggrin:
  15. LOL yes, very tactful, I might try some of those on my other forum lol, although my post count has been on a downfall over there as im really sick of all the crap.
  16. dunno guys, what if I removed my spoiler and bolted on a walmart wing, then put a skyline engine in (reference to F&F) with a single fart can sticking out my duel exhaust rear valance, lost the stripes in favor of some NOS stickers and parts I don't have on the car, with a huge Type R emblem on my trunk etc etc. would anyone be upset and think I don't deserve my car because I cut it all up? I won't lie, if someone did that to a 69 stang, im not so sure id be able to keep my mouth shut. Now if it was a rust bucket they were saving from dead fine, but were talking a nice car that they cut all apart.
  17. you hit the nail on the head with that one, but why arnt there any bad seed on here, every other forum there are at least a few idiots if not more lol
  18. you find a perfect fastback and cut it all up to attempt to save that... I have to say that that car should be parted out, whats left of it at least.
  19. No I am, my car has autopilot, it makes hard left turns by itself, then when you hit the brakes it pulls back to the right and goes straight until you let off the brakes, then its back to hard left LOL Therefore I am the greatest... ok "its probably mostly the car" and yes, my front end is almost beyond needing a complete rebuild lol.
  20. like side boobs? EDIT: hahahaha the smiley is looking at it *cracks up*
  21. good point the resto thing could be a big part of it, but go figure this one out, on my other forum there are 3 guys i really despise, and about 80 others who i dislike, but one of those 3 who I despise is a mod:huh: And I mean hes a mod and stirs things up and starts trouble, then closes a thread when people argue with him, hes edited my sig before to say some pretty... lets just leave it at hes very immature.
  22. I work with paponyparts, Bebbie and John its a family owned business that discounts the parts form cj, and it is direct parts from cj. They are great people, I call up with technical problems and questions and they help me out. I will never buy from another mustang vendor again, hell, they even try sell my used parts for me that I have laying around if they know anyone that needs them. I get parts the day or 2 after I order sometimes its amazing how fast they get stuff out. http://www.paponyparts.com go to customers cars, all the way down, second from the bottom in the right column to see my car, and I just noticed she has the year of my car wrong... im going to have to talk to her about that one lol. Just tell them Nick Warshany, Steve's son told you to call, shell know who I am:biggrin:
  23. hahaha who in their right mind... nvm, I can see my grandpa doing that, he put a caddy hood ornament on the hood of his jeep lol
  24. well another forum I am on is for another specific car and specific model of that car, and we all love that car too, but people are royal you know whats over there. I think guys who own muscle cars are of a different breed, and tend to actually be decent people, maybe thats it.
