Yes, there are seven 2x4s high, with a piece of ¾" osb on top. It's 11¼" in height, which works perfect for my floor jack's jacking height.
I added a couple of 2x4s on the ends for tire roll. In my prior pic there are 2 thin pieces of steel with grease between them during the alignment.

Thank you!  So 2315 is what mine came up to, so I'll stick with the 2000ppm setting, as it's the closest.

    Let me take a shot...
    Measure your tire diameter in inches:  D Calculate tire circumference:      C = (pi * D) = (3.1415 * D) There's 63,360 inches in a mile.  (12 in/ft * 5280 ft/mi)  So tire-rotations-per-mile = 63360/C Finally, your 3.00 differential spins 3 times per tire rotation, so the driveshaft speed is (3*Tire-rotations-per-mile) Example, tire is 24" in diameter...
    D= 24 C = (3.1415 * 24) = 75.6336" Tire-rotations-per-mile = (63360 / 75.6336) = 837.72 Driveshaft-rotations-per-mile = (3 * 837.72) = 2513.19
[edit] Maybe easier just to measure your tire circumference instead of doing it the long way?

That's good to hear Phil.  I emailed him, but didn't hear back. It's probably my bad breath, or attitude. Maybe both.
Another one who's mia is Bob and Sue. I've emailed him a couple of times without a reply.

Just to follow up, I've sorted out my clearance issues.  I had moved my engine forward about 1/2" so that my (new) TKX transmission mount would line up properly.  If I put the engine back to where it was (smack head!) then things line up perfectly.  I do need a new z-bar as mine is bent and reinforced (way before I owned this car), which also helps with the clearance.
I need to butcher up my tkx crossmember, but I can deal with that much easier.

69RavenConv reacted to Casgar in Wheels Nationals 2022 Umeå, Sweden
Posting these pictures a bit late since the event took place in the beginning on June 2022. Wheels National is one of, if not the biggest car show in Sweden and consists of 4 shows in different parts of the country. The Wheels National Norr (North) takes place in my town. Last year was the first year after a two year hiatus due to covid, and sadly the the usual area was probably around 50% smaller compared to previous years because they built a new arena there. Because of this only cars older than 1980 (I think) was allowed entry last year. Usually whoever has an old or somewhat special car is allowed entry as long as there is room. One corner of the show usually have a couple of hot rods and a truck or three. The day ends with a cruise around the city center for a couple of hours.

    PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!!
First I want to thank everyone that took the time to help me solve this problem, I couldn't have done it without all of you.
What solved the problem was getting rotors (with races) for a 1970 Mustang vs. the 1969.
Both model years use the same inner and outer bearings and as such I did not have to re-replace them.
I did notice immediately that the inner bearing sat further down in the race, the outer bearing I believe did as well since I now have plenty of clearance for the cotter pin through the castle nut.
So the spindle numbers I have are obviously a 1970 model year that require a 1970 rotor with the corresponding races. RPM pointed this out.....D0ZA
As I mentioned early on the brake job that was done prior had the incorrect rotor, the shop must have taken something off the pads to allow the rotor to function.
I hope this helps someone else out in the future.

So i got a little bored today and decided to go to home depot ,just walking around and wind up in the paint department when i see this ,Rustoleum hammered paint in black . I thought what the hell and bought a couple of cans . I have a set of the fold down fiberglass panels and thought i would try it out and see if it was close . I scuffed the panels with green skotch brite and sprayed a coat ,let that set up a hit it with one more coat ,i would say it is damn near a perfect match for the factory texture ,i only sprayed half the panel so i could compare .  Now i didnt prep it very well so i will have to clean it off and do a correct paint job but now i can retexture some panels i have here and make some new molds ,i even have the two smaller top strip fiberglass pieces i have been wanting to make molds for ,the pieces at the top corners of the back seat for the non fold down. I want to make a two sided press mold of these so they will be smooth on the back and textured on the front as original .

Yes, the old Ford Granada. Back in the day you could find a fleet of them in the junkyards and get the front disc brakes cheap, so a lot of folks made the switch. Today, the Granadas are all gone and they reproduce the original Mustang brakes so people go that route instead.

I went to pick up my power window kit for my '70 convertible.  These come highly recommended from local restoration shops.   I have no affiliation with the supplier, had never been there before, but as it was driving distance, I decided to go over and pick up my window kit.
What I found was a small family run business in a small town called East Bend, NC, population 620.   It is located on the East Bend of the Yadkin River, near Winston Salem.
The owner personally hooked me up with the right regulators, motors, and switch combination.  I went back in the shop, and all of the steel parts are laser cut right there.  All of the hardware was very high quality.  I chose the billet switch option, which uses a chrome plated billet base for the 4-switch option I chose for my console.   The kit uses brand new GM switches and harness connectors.
So, if you are looking for an honest to god Made in the USA power window kit, check these guys out.

This is a clip from season 32 episode #4 (came out earlier this year).
I hope the video stays up. Youutube and Fbook keep taking it down. The clip is not available anywhere else. They apparently only ran it a few times on the air but then removed it.
Was an amazing experience. FYI my Viper was running high 10 sec passes. They deliberately slowed it down for the show.... Can't have a 9 year old American car beating a shiny new electric truck! LOL. What was most bizarre about the entire thing was that they would not prep the Viper's lane but extensively prepped the Rivians. Not prepping the Viper's lane required at least 30+ runs because the driver just could not get the car to hook and he was just not used to driving a Viper (it was 45 degrees out in January at the time of filming).
The closeup of the spinning tire was actually me doing the burnout! And you can see me in several of the shots, notably inside the truck.
Still an amazing experience. Every one of the 60+ Topgear staff were great people and I would do this again in a heart beat. The car was driven by F1 driver Eduardo Marques. They would not confirm or deny that he is the Stig, but that he does travel with them for the show and does most of the stunt, timed driving...etc. I was fortunate enough to have Freddy and Eduardo sign the car too.
Get my car on Top Gear- checked that off the bucket list!

    First set is for TexasEd.
They already have the proper curve and moon skin grain ,i made the light holes a bit small just incase you use the new lights ,they are a bit smaller than the originals ,a wood dowl and 80 grit paper will open them up if you need to .
A strip of foam on the back side at the bottom may be needed to keep them against the hockey stick just like the card board ones have but other than that they slip in under the back window rubber and 1 screw in the front where the small molding is and paint your interior color the pinch on wind lace covers the front just like the card board ones do and thats all thats need to install .
