A good pic is worth a thousand dollars. Even my 20 year old cheap paint job can look good in a pic.

What kind of hokey pokey dolly system you got working holding the back of your motor up.
    I've seen it all now!!

My original set was relatively nice but they needed new chrome. After looking into the cost, I went with a repro set with pins (not the stick-on kind) and was pleasantly surprised. All the pins but one lined up well with the holes in the deck lid. I worked the one that didn't fit with a file and it worked out well. Something you may want to look into, as a really nice set of originals may be hard to find.
Not the best photo but here they are...

Well, I looked through my big box o' paper tonight and couldn't find a receipt for them. More than likely I picked them up at a swap meet a long, long time ago
It looks like Scott Drake is the only supplier these days and like you said, they get mixed reviews (I looked). I don't think mine were Scott Drake but I really can't remember and I guess it doesn't matter anyway.
Sorry I can't be more help. I guess you could re-chrome some OEM, or go stick-on, or take a chance on a $16 set that might be crooked.

We all have our opinions and I agree with you Raven. Farrah may very well have been the most beautiful woman in Hollywood. At least in that era. In December of 1976 we moved into our newly completed house. I installed a TV antenna and rotor (no cable in the new neighborhood at the time) on the chimney during a snow storm/blizzard so as not to miss Charlie's Angels that night.   Dave R.

Oh forgot the eccentric bolt.   It has an allen wrench hole where you can rotate the eccentric and it moves the top frame up and down.  There is a small dimple in the connection area that prevents the rotation of the bolt head.  Works kind like a lower control arm camber adjustment nut.
Last pic is something I recently found at Advanced Auto Parts that I really like.  It is Flat Black primer/paint made by Rust-oleum, and it has a small brush applicator.  I found it with the auto touch up paint.  I use it to finish some of these old bolt heads/nuts after I am done working on them.   I wire brushed/cleaned most of these by hand, as my original top was pretty rusty.

It's the manufacturing code for the seat itself, not the interior trim of the vehicle.

Nice work, Tom. That's a common problem, often difficult to diagnose. You're right, it's not a great design.

Last update for this post. After much troubleshooting, the fuel gauge problem was a re-assembly issue with the cluster. Even though the insulation brackets were in the right spot, the posts on the back of the gauge were contacting the cluster housing, grounding them out. I put some electrical tape around the inside of the housing where the posts slide through and it worked. Seems like a bad design, in my opinion, but it worked for 15 years before I messed with it so what are you going to do?
Got the idea from this video I found in an old forum. Hope it helps somebody else.

Well, I made it!  Arrived Monday afternoon, movers showed up at 8AM Tuesday, and have spent the rest of the week making the house livable.  Will have to get car registered, driver's license, and a AZ business license over the next couple of weeks, then work on the garage to make it usable for wire work.  Plan is to start back up Jan 1.

How's this look? My print doesn't have the blue on the bumper. I don't know where that came from.    Dave R.

Easy preliminary check it to unplug your fans and see if anything changes.
Relays are always a good idea, even on a bone stock car, but they won't make up for an undersized alternator.

The 1969 Autolite 4300 carb had the fuel filter screwed into the carb itself.  See pic:

Sometimes at around 2000 rpm it'll do that.  Keep in mind that this exhaust system will sound a little different on every car because of all the variables involved.

I had a drone in mine which was particularly bad up a gentle incline. I have sound proofing on the floor and firewall. About two weeks I took the rear side panels off. Not sure what they're call but the fiberglass ones next to the rear passenger knees. I added think soundproofing behind them and have noticed a dramatic improvement.

I want to say the OEM filter was located at the input to the carburetor. It was a metal (brass?) fitting with a screen-type filter element inside. Maybe an inch or two long that threaded between the hard fuel line and the carb body - badically part of the carb like Redstang said (welcome to the site!).
But it's been years since I looked my original 2100 and my memory is getting old. I inserted an aftermarket filter between the pump and my Holley carb years ago.

Stock was inline pump and carb. 2vs were screwed directly into carb.
Using a stock puller pump place filter before carb.
Using a pusher pump place it between tank and pump. good rule of thumb.
