Finished the stipping this week. I had it soda blasted, and was very pleased with the results. Leaves the surface in good shape, and doesn't damage plastic, stainless, etc. Happily, very little additional rust underneath the 3 different repaints. Just at the bottom of the doors on both sides. Shouldn't be too much of a problem to patch. I have a question for anyone else who has used soda- other than the obvious need to get it all out of nooks and crannies before painting, do you have any other suggestions for prep?

Great work! I have some questions about the hood. Where did you get it from? How much work was it to fit? Did you run into any problems mounting it? Thanks

It doesnt include the brackets to mount it to the floor of the trunk panels. I will look at the backside to see what brackets it has for the lights and em tomorrow

Purchased my car almost 3 years ago. Finally have some extra $$ to start the resto. After pulling out the interior, I discovered that the passenger rear floor had been buckled due to rear being hit and poorly repaired. I had the trunk floor cut and repaired, along with the tail light panel, and have started stripping. Hoping to have the floor repaired and rest of car stripped and body work done this month.

My .02 - I'd really like a Boss car, and if I had the $$, I would do the best original resto on it that I could. What I bought though, was a Sportsroof that was originally the "toothpaste green" (Aztec Aqua) and had been painted twice - once 80's bronze and then "sell me red". Two passenger seats and a non-original 351. The original was a 302 auto and the engine and trans was gone at least 10 years, according to the guy I bought it from. Standard interior, etc. I just dont see any sense in restoring that, either from an enjoyment factor or finanically. So, what it will have is the stroked 351, body color engine bay, R&P, discs all round, etc. I may not break even on it if I ever do sell it, but I'll enjoy the heck out of building something I like.

Thanks for the pic's. At least you know what you've got now. Looks like excellent work. I'm going through almost the same thing, but didnt have to replace the quarters.

thanks for the info. Mine is being stripped this week. I will look for signs of leaking front and back.

Beautiful! I have a question - I notice that you removed the rear glass, but left the windshield glass in. Does anyone have any suggestions on whether it's better to remove the glass or not? I'd be interested in knowing whether anyone has had issues with breakage, etc. Thanks
