........It's ready to be STROKED........
dennyb68 replied to dennyb68's topic in 1969-70 Technical Forum
I got it all back together yesterday and it's broken in. I will be going to the exhaust shop tomorrow to make the connection between my Sanderson's and the cut out pipes.. -
I would just go to your local farm supply with all of your old bolts and match them up with some stainless. I can buy them buy the pound here locally..
-
most mustang venders sell the adapter as far as the pulleys go not sure what you can do about that. I run a serpentine setup on mine and I have no A/C so it was pretty easy
-
I did it on my 69 and was a piece of cake. All I did was remove the pump and the slave cylinder and installed the adapter that can be had for around $100 and it was done.

Is there a difference in the Trans cross member between a 6cyl and a 351. with a c4?

This set was really nice and I bead blasted them myself so they were ready to be dipped when I dropped them off so that saved me a little and he did the cap for free. So are the prices out east about what I got with my 1st quotes? -

I have the same style of "boss" style finned covers and wanted something different. I had almost given up because the prices most chrome shops wanted I thought was outrageous but then I call a local shop and I got them done for $100 for the pair and the others wanted $250 -

So after just a few hours this morning it's ready to be pulled to make way for my 393. Now let even more fun begin..

I bought the open tracker kit and it went in with no problems.
-
I only want two thumbs for this one..Bezel is solid no cracks mounting tabs are also solid
-
Hmmm this is the same metal the the head light buckets are made of..So the pesky broken mounting tab can be welded back on i guess..I have a spare that i may try to weld the tab back on.

And whatever you get I would have the tubes soldered again just to make sure they wont get loose from installing the hoses..I'm sure you can find a thread on this subject. I have one that the tube leaked after installing the hoses and the tube just pulled out of the 2 year old core Grrrrrrr..
