  1. I have a video I'm just not sure how to post it . I shot the vid for the exhaust thread and couldn't get it posted. The cam specs are int.- exh. adv dur 267 273 dur @ .o50 224 230 lift 525 525. This is a custom ground Comp Cam and it was the biggest cam I could run with my build and keep my power brakes. I wouldn't change anything about the build. I went with the Holley Strip Domy and the big tube 1 7/8" headers because the builder was very clear that this is what was needed to make the Cleveland run at its best. I chose my builder from word of mouth that he was "The Guy" for Clevelands in my area. I also got rid of the FMX and got a TCI sizzler C-4 3000 stall converter and I have 3.70 gears. I has a lot more power that I can feel even though I haven't even had it over 4500 rpm it really rips it up. I now know for sure that I have a major traction problem.
  2. My after market louvers also hinge up so I can clean the glass and they provide great shade and help keep the interior temp down.
  3. I think the irid stands for iridescent and yes it would have some metallic paint in it.
  4. I have some on mine and I love em. I have some aftermarket louvers that require no holes in the body to install the have a good look close to oem without the brackets mounted to the body..
  5.:thumbup :Nice pair you got there.
  6. I have a 1969 paint chip page for Mustang Fairlane Thunderbird and Falcon. From the picture I can't tell if it's more green or more blue. If it's more Green then I think it would be paint code U Tahoe Turquoise IRID (T-Bird only) according to the paint chip page. If it's more blue then most likely paint code Q Brittany Blue IRID (except mustang) according to the page that I have.
  7. No that will not work in a 69. I replied to your other post that I have a few good originals 10.00 shipped.
  8. Smaller starter body but but the nose that goes into the bell is the same I think. You may need the mini high torque starter to fit into the bell, I just went through this with a C-4 Cleveland combo the large body starter would not go into the bell without bending the lip of the oil pan and even that still caused problems, I went with the mini starter and problem solved.
  9. I checked mine and its a 5/16 fine thread self tapper. I have some new spare bolts I can drop off tomorrow to see if they will work.
  10. No gasket there. If you want you could use a thin bead of 3M body putty I think thats what I used.
  11. When I had mine made I was told to put the yoke into the trans all the way then pull it out 1" then measure center to center. If you tell the shop that is gonna shorten your drive shaft the measurement they will be able to make it.
  12. If you get a chance can you snap a picture of the firewall. Thanks,Denny
  13. Does that Classic Auto Air kit exit as the car in the same spot as the original A/C system did or do you have to cut more holes in the firewall..
  14. I just took a peek at the Osborn Chassis Assembly book and they show those parts on the front cover. The inside of the book shows them as for Cougar Only except the 65E Mustang which is the Grande.. Hmmmm
  15. I have two of them 9965-1 one with electric choke and the non electric choke 4412-5 they look to be in good condition both would most likely need a rebuild.. Let me know. Denny
  16. I bought that same pan two weeks ago and installed the engine with no fitment issues. I didn't really like the bottom oil drain but at 1/3 or less the price of the high dollar pans I will live with the bottom plug. I used an after market dipstick but I think you should be able to use the stock one. The pickup is a stock unit.
  17. to just replace the bulbs in the cluster you don't have to remove the pad you just have to remove the screws from the cluster and pull it out unhook the speedo cable and unplug the harness and its out.
  18. Just carefully pull them maybe with a little wiggle straight off of the stem.
  19. I agree I have the same "boss" style and wanted the chrome for the ease of cleaning. I also wanted to go with the mid 80's chrome look..
  20. I took a Video clip of the exhaust I'm gonna try to post it on the exhaust thread. I think I should have had the camera closer..
  21. It was a pretty quick turn around but It was all planed out because I can't stand for my car to be down for to long. I started with a 73 CJ 4 bolt block .030 over ,3.875 scat crank ,custom pistons so I could use my closed chamber heads with stainless valves and stay on pump gas. I got some Scorpion roller rockers and the cam was about the max lift that I could get and keep my vacuum up for my power brakes. I found a very nice Holley Strip domy intake and I have the Sanderson ceramic headers with 1 7/8 tubes. I also added a TCI street fighter transmission with a 3000 stall convertor. I would guess the HP to be around 450. The fuel pump is just a stock unit that I used to break it in. I had a Holley on it before but I had some issues with it. I don't think Edlebrock makes a pump for my Cleveland but I will check it out. I think the next step will be to add some cal-tracs and the mono leaf to the rear..
