What did you do to/for your Mustang today?

I pulled mine out of where it's sat in my parent's garage since 1998, and brought it to my house. It's not back inside yet, but since the neighbor's son set a fire that spread to the garage I wanted to get the 2 project cars recovered out of it ASAP, in case the roof and attic (where the fire was concentrated) decided to collapse. I need to condense my 12 year old's CJ7 project to make room in my toy shop for it. My dad's Model A project and small parts from both cars are currently filling our attached garage too... -
Any new Progress? This looks like it's going to be a wicked cool car to drive...

As a somewhat local, our "jungle primary, top 2 advance" system meant that last time Pelosi was up for re-election, the only other choice on the ballot made Pelosi look like Rand Paul.

I've always used a spring compressor to compress the spring when doing ball joints, I'm sure this was quicker at the dealership though, as they could leave the shock and spring in place. You better trust your welds though, or you'll be wearing the spring when it fails. From what that page looks like ford intended these as a tool for keeping the suspension loaded to change ball joints without complete disassembly not for general lifting of the cars. If you needed them to lift the car, at least 1 would have been with the jack tools in the trunk.

We stipulated in our offer that the lift was to convey. The seller told us that made them know we were the right buyers who would appreciate and enjoy what they had built.

Happy Day! Escrow just closed on our new place, has the standard 2 car attached, and has this in the back: 24x36 with a 10' tall door on the front, and a lift inside. Now I can finally bring the mustang home, and actually start working on it for the first time in 15 years...

Thanks, I think Pick and pull would be cheaper than the fuel to come down there... I'm hoping I find something local, although the thought of 4 doughnut spares is at least low rolling resistance... -
We are in the process of buying a new house that will have a garage to finally bring my 70 home to work on. I'm looking for a set of junk wheels and tires that will hold air to be able to roll it in and out of the garage it is currently in, and my new garage. The tires currently on it are completely rotted out, and won't hold air at all. If you have a set I can borrow for a couple weeks, great. If you have a set I can acquire, even better. I don't want to spend money buying new tires, since it won't be wearing 14's when it hits the road again...

The track width is that much wider. The wheel mounting surface is outside the plane of the 67 body...

Vintage mustang wheels are lug-centric. This means the wheel is centered by the cone taper of the lug nuts, not the center pilot. Hub centric wheels don't have a cone taper, and frequently use a multi piece lugnut -
What motor oil are people running

In the 351 in the bronco I'm running chevron delo 400 oil, the same as I run in the 2 diesels. -
I wish... House we bought in 07 to live in and improve over 2-3 years didn't have a garage, and we are still underwater and have been unable to sell and move into a larger house... As a result she sits in waiting in my parents garage, along with my dad's 29 Model A project...

You should be fine. The top of the upper intake never gets that hot. Even after a hard run mine can still have a hand held on it -
Are the vert ones different from the coupe? I have a coupe set in my spare parts piles

Question- How far between leafsprings and tire is OK.

You can't trim the spring. It will create a stress riser and will break. -
Not only does it need to be a 164 tooth separator plate, it also needs to be an automatic separator plate, as the starter pilot diameters are different. (painful experience)
