  1. Looking for door sill plates. Any difference over a Scott Drake part or a Carpenter part? From what I understand the Carpenter part is Ford Tooling. Any thoughts?
  2. Getting ready to replace front suspension. Going back with standard equipment and was wondering what you all have used. I see MOOG parts are available and have checked a few vendors and they carry Scott Drake. Any one better than the other as far as quality goes? Thanks for any help.
  3. Can you tell me what color of window crank knob color would go into a white interior 69 Mach. White or black?
  4. When re-installing console after replacing carpeting is there a trick to lining up the screws to make sure you are using the factory holes instead of having to make new holes? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

  7. I added power steering to a non power car. The holes in the frame rail are to accept crush nuts that allow the steering cylinder bracket to attach to the frame rail. You insert the nuts and ass you torque them they crush or expand and stay tightened in the frame rail hole. I think I still have a couple of crush nuts if your interested in them.

  9. Has anyone used the white interior paint from NPD? I used the accu match brand on the hard interior pieces and it appears to be very white in contrast to the soft vinyl trim from TMI which appears to be a creamy color of white. Any thoughts or help is appreciated.
  10. The weather strip just screws into the stainless channel to assist with keeping the weather strip in the channel. It does not attach any where else.
  11. Does the hockey stick trim go over the rear interior quarter panels or does the rear interior panel lay over the hockey stick trim? Any help is appreciated.
  12. 69 Mach 1 with white interior. I have new interior all TMI. I have purchased accumatch interior paint to freshen up the hard interior parts. Hockey sticks, interior side panels, a-pillar moldings. Questions is all the TMI product seems to be of a creamy white color. The accumatch interior paint appears to be much whiter, is this normal or should the paint be more of a creamy color like the TMI product?
  13. I called Daniel Carpenter who is making the Ford Licensed lens and asked them as I had the same situation. They suggestion E6000 glue that I purchased from Hobby Lobby. It is a clear glue that so far has worked great and held up very well.
  14. Can you repair door hinges (bushings and pins) with the hinge still attached to the door and car? Support the door, drive out pins, replace bushings, install new pins? Any help is appreciated.
  15. The covers are specific for a 70 model only if I am correct.
  16. I have heard the same responses that an after market just doesn't fit. I will be curious on the replies. I contacted Daniel Carpenter awhile back and they did inform me they would be tooling up to make a Ford licensed hood lip molding in the future but didn't have a specific date when they would be available.
  17. Second on the Daniel Carpenter switch. Went right in and no issues. Works great.
  18. Did you also try grounding your temperature sending unit wire to check your temp gauge?
  19. I ran across the same issue. First check to see if you have voltage to the CVR. If so plug into the circuit board. With the key on you should be able to pull the sending unit wire at the temperature sending unit and also the fuel tank sending unit wire. With a test light you should see the light pulsating. You can also ground the sending unit wire leads and turn your key on and the gauges that you have grounded the sending unit wire should peg to the right side. This tells you the gauge is working. I also had the gauges grounded out to the metal gauge housing which also wont let the gauges work. I cant tell you how many times I pulled the gauge cluster apart to get it right. Also had a new temperature sending unit in the block that was faulty so always double check. I ended up replacing the fuel tank sending unit and the temperature sending unit. Hope this helps a little.
  20. Does any one know if 69 window regulators will work when converting to 70 bolt in glass on a fastback?
  21. A couple of things to check as I ran across the same situation. Make sure your gauge housings are not grounding out to the metal instrument housings. Also if you take your sending unit wires off and ground the lead and turn your key on momentarily your gauge should peg out. Just don't leave the key on too long. Other than that its possible your constant voltage regulator or circuit board are faulty.
  22. Looking for passenger side seat hinge cover for 69 Mach 1. This is the one on the outer side of the seat nearest the door. Thanks for any help
