Buckeye you may not have won an award there but you have won it all with us .Your car is a work of art and most peoples idea of restoring a car is take it somewhere but there is no more satisfaction then to know you did it yourself. We have seen your unbelievable craftsmanship and attention to detail you can truly be proud. When so many people building similar cars put yours so high on a pedestal it should let you know how truly nice your car is.

They used it at the machine shop where my engine was built and dynoed they said who wants that nasty smell around all day between small leaks and spills etc plus dynoing 2 or 3 engines a day just helps the nasty smell of todays fuels I personally hate unleaded smell.

What part is this and where do I get new ones? (rear end)
69boss408 replied to LSwat's topic in 1969-70 Technical Forum
kinda looks like the part that holds lowering blocks on the cougars not sure though haven't seen one since everybody threw them away and raised rear end -
I have to say I agree with Tony 63C in 1984 when i bought my first 69 the thing that drew me was the side scoops real or not they make the car. When I was cruising up and down the coast of California while stationed at Camp Pendelton looking in the rearview mirrors and seeing those two scoops wow. After that car was demolished by a car running from the police smashing the front end. After many years of racing foxbodies I decided to settel down and build a nice car show and cruiser and looked hard to find another 69 it took till 2000 to find one .I have spent years messing around i'm nearing to my goal I can't wait to finish.Getting closer day by day when I lay down the paint this winter it will be a restomod a combination of 70 grabber stripes and 69 styling that i like no matter what anyone else likes.

70 fastback, add a rear spoiler or not?
69boss408 replied to ramair351's topic in 1969-70 Technical Forum
I like all the add ons front spoiler ,slats and rear spoiler. My spoiler came from NPD and it sags unless i keep it braced when not on road or at show.I made a brace with cloth on edges so as not to scratch paint when not on road I put it in it gets hot in my garage in summer. -
