    Life’s Challenges

Next time your are near her, Take her hand and give it a gentle squeeze. When she looks up at you, Give a wink of a eye. Tell her it is from all of us.

    Mike65's 69 Coupe build

Hi Vic, Now that the weather is cooling off I will be back working on the Mustang between trips to southern Virginia where my wife & I purchased a house. The house is just west of Martinsville in Virginia which we are going to renovate to use as our house when we retire in 2 years, & we will sell the house we are currently living in here in NJ. Here is a pic of the house. The house sits on 1 acre of land & there is enough room to put up a 2 car garage to the left of the carport. I have to get more welding gas before I can weld in the sub frame connectors.

Here are 2 pics of the terminal blocks I used. The smaller one in the bottom pic I used to supply power to the circuit breakers for the cooling fan relays, & the larger one in the first pic I used for the ground wires from the AAW wiring harness. I ran the ground wire from the battery to the terminal block & then from the terminal block to the frame.

    Starting/Electrical System Issue

How about running a wire from under S terminal to inside, and an other wire from battery + to inside. Connect a switch to the ends of the wires. Turn the key to start, if starter does not engage, do not let the key off but press the switch you just rigged up. If the engine turns over, the battery, starter and selonoid are fine.

    Starting/Electrical System Issue

Going from my old memory, you can undo the NSS connector at firewall and put a jumper on firewall side of the connector to bypass NSS. There are 4 wires on that connector, 2 for NSS, 2 for reverse. Can't remember the wire colors for NSS that needs to be jumped on firewall side of connector. Also, I have opened and cleaned the original ignition switches of my 69 and 70s before and used them with success.

I used 2 similar to the one in the link, one for the power distribution, & one for the ground wires. https://www.amazon.com/Terminal-Bus-Power-Ground-Distribution/dp/B07DFXTLSX/ref=sr_1_19?dchild=1&keywords=Power+Distribution+Blocks&qid=1601334940&sr=8-19

There are these distribution blocks. I used something like these on another project. https://www.summitracing.com/search/brand/painless-performance/product-line/painless-performance-8-point-distribution-blocks/part-type/electrical-junction-blocks?fr=part-type&autoview=SKU&ibanner=SREPD5

    Book/Manual options

The 69 Owners Manual (glove comp.) is a good start. Then depending on the type of ' restoration ' you envision, I suggest, the 69 Shop Manual's. There are other paperback resources including the Osbourne Manuals. Then depending on the type of drive train; this site, Concours Mustang and the 428 CJ sites are all good resources. Brian

New rack & pinion being installed. Old steering system was totally worn out.
