Hey guys! Been a long time... For those that don't remember me, I bought/built a 69 Mustang Coupe back in 08, and I was active on the forum here till about 2014. I had started a documentary project/blog that my Mustang was featured in, and switched over about a third of the way through to a 300zx Twin Turbo to build for road racing (then sold my Stang in 2014 to continue funding the film) - Original Documentary/Z Build Thread The years went by, and I got less and less active on car forums in general... but I was recently closing down an old email address, and came across a PM notification from member RPM on here he sent me 3 years ago! Thought I'd log in and say hello to you all, and let you know that I never gave up on the documentary, and after all these years it's finally finished and I'm planning to independently release it this summer! Was a lot of ups and downs both making the film, and subsequently trying to release it (you can read more here if interested), but I couldn't be more proud of the way it came out. Check the trailer below (feel free to subscribe/visit the website/social media/etc.), and drop a comment here to say hi if you remember me, lol. Hope you're all well! -Jay Despite The Loss Official Trailer

Finally done with floor pans! Still have to fabricate both seat platforms, and by this I’m thinking to delete openings for seat fasteners in floor pan and modify seat platform. Now working on tail frame part - weir distorted frame arches. I’m adding extra stiffening plate because I have no idea what is the cause of this damage. Also, I’m starting to measure out position of elements for panhard bar on frame.

Indeed it does! I love the Magnum 500 wheel!!! Car looks good. When I first got my car back in 76, it had the OEM chrome styled wheels. I longed for the Magnums back then but they were somewhat hard to find and very expensive. Eventually found me a set of 14" Magnums that I could afford back then.

Or as we call it in June, July and August...Hell. But on the positive side, no humidity or insects.

Thanks Ed, Mike 65, I found Czech company that sells vintage Mustang part in Prague and requested floor pan, so I’m looking forward to get answer. My progress is gonna slow down little bit, I need to finish my air system – need to build air dryer to be able spray at home. I´m finally done with engine bay welding and could try out my body filler on battery holder area. Marking for Shelby drop is done, but I didn’t find the right drill bit size at home so I have to buy one. Started to fabricate subframe connectors...

Mikee, nice work on the shock tower repairs. Mine were cracked also. You should probably drill the holes for the 1" lowering of the upper control arms while you are working in that area.

After blasting I sprayed epoxy primer to seal the surface. In shock tower I spotted some weird sharp edge around one of spot welds. When car came back home I stripped this area and did penetration test to confirm my concerns. In total I found 1 crack on left and 2 cracks on right shock tower. So next step … shock tower reinforcement.
