Hello all, Wanted to post a follow up. The springs finally arrived and I replaced the top spring from the firewall to the Z-bar. This was the spring that was missing on our car. The pedal returns perfect now - -I can mark this one done. Thanks to all for the advice and links - - it helped a lot. In the future I will replace the z-bar bushings and I am thinking of replacing the clutch and all the parts perhaps in the winter Thanks so much - -great help - - - - Sam

Get as much ready to paint with the pen as you can as the tip tends to dry out after sitting a bit. Takes a lot of pumping to get the paint out sometimes. The tip is spring loaded. Place the pen tip down and start pressing/pumping it until the paint starts flowing. Mine is now a couple months old and the paint in the tip has dried up. I have to pump some out near where the pen meets the tip, wipe the paint on some newspaper and then dip the tip into it to use the pen. I'm on my 2nd pen as the first one dried up after a couple of uses and now no more paint comes out.

Thanks again for your comments, appreciated, so the general consensus is keep original or respray the same color.

Today, the engine is back in, had to squeeze it in because of that MMR deep sump oil pan.

I have all parts now for engine that I will get except for pistons, pushrods, headgaskets and rod/main bearings. Plan to take it to shop in November for machining. ….and in process of getting out scaring, pitting, etc from the undercarriage....

strange. the old photobucket images are now shown, but the newer postimage photos aren't. did Microsoft edge make a change or did photobucket change something? ...anyways, a couple pics of the current stage of the falcon.
